As a pure multiplayer only game, I am very happy to say that this game is a satisfying experience. Not everyone may find the MOBA format fun, but for those who do like this genre, this game is excellent. First of all, it has the one thing that competitive multiplayer games must always have: light minimum specification to play the game. Pretty much any kind of semi-recent PCs or laptops can run it to various degrees of performance, unless it's a extremely old rig. And then there's the excellent business model. The game does have somewhat of a progression system, unlocking pretty much everything past level 15. Game modes and different drop rarities are unlocked before that, and while it does take a while to get to that benchmark, you do get a free booster to smooth out the process. But do note that levels have NO effect on your performance whatsoever, and only matters for unlocking different modes and cosmetic drops. If you don't plan to climb the rankings, it doesn't really concern you other than the guaranteed drop you get every time you level up. The cosmetics look great though. Other than that, the game is filled with features to make you want to immerse yourself in the community. Got quota-limited internet like me and can't watch streams without wasting tons of bandwidth? Watch the games on the spectator mode, which does include a broadcaster mode. All major tournaments are casted there as well, and you can watch them for free or even buy passes and get prizes for watching the games (including limited edition cosmetic items). All of this is only possible thanks to Valve's status as pretty much the holder of a good majority of digital game sales.

Alright, enough of the extras. Is the game any good? It is. Is it fun playing the game solo in the long term in a casual manner? Thanks to the competitive nature of the genre, not really. Unless you have a group of people to play the game with or plan on being seriously involved in getting competitively better in the game, playing solo will often lead to great frustration. However, learning the game by itself isn't a horrible experience, surprisingly. The tutorial is quite excellent and the bots are challenging, though not unfairly, for newbies. All in all, it's a game you will love if you like the genre and like climbing a rather steep learning curve.

TL;DR
+) Good minimum spec requirement
+) Great business model with little progression requirements
+) Lots of community support
+) Allows you to immerse yourself in the game experience
+) Good tutorial
-) Steep learning curve for absolute newbies
-) Doesn't fix the solo player's frustrations when playing in a team game
