*Spoiler ALERT* (not huge spoilers though)

I've been playing video games for a decade and a half. Started with the early call of duty games and medal of honor. brothers in arms and ratchet and clank. as time has progressed. my knowledge of video games and story telling has steadily increased. there's been some truly remarkable games within that 15 years or so.

Red Dead redemption 2: a game that taught the player that no matter how far gone you are, how dark the road you travel is. in the end. if you follow the light you will be forgiven.

Metal Gear Solid 4: taught me that time on this planet is limited for us humans and sometimes we don't really know how much time their is ahead of us. that there is inherent risk with falling asleep at night. The risk?

you may not wake up.

Cyberpunk 2077: The thing that sets this game apart from the rest is the reality of the story and setting. A dystopian future where corporations run the world. Money and Social status dictates the players and the methods. on average the populace of night city has lost it's moral compass. This game and its story of self-exploration taught me things that no other person in my life had mentioned. Life isn't pretty. Unless you make it pretty. That's kinda the overall lesson of this story. Make your own path. Cut your own trail. Don't be a follower, but a leader.

V wanted one thing in life. To become a legend of night city and no matter what ending you get at the end. V will be remembered for years and years to come. He died following that dream. Although what he learned from that journey of rebirth to afterlife was life-altering for me. Perseverance and determination is what makes you a legend. Not the money, not the badassery, not the indescribable efficiency at which V could murder gonks. Stubbornness writes epics. sticking to the plan no matter what goes south.

Video games are a form of artistic expression unrivaled by every other medium. Nothing can make the viewer/player feel the same way as video games. That is the reason why this game excels in its story-telling. it focuses on immersion and a compelling plot. No other game i've played has shook me down to my core like cyberpunk did. That's why this game should be considered the best of all time. The release was atrocious. however, if you look past that and forgot the flaws. currently this game is nigh on perfect. If i were to rate this game out of ten

9.4/10 - for the reason's mentioned above. so, in summary. Cyberpunk 2077 is a riveting and heart-wrenching story about humanity and the dream or aspiration for your name as an individual to be remembered for decades to come. Set in a immensely realisitic future where corporations own the world. Cyberpunk deserves your attention. Not because it's fun or replayable. although, it very much so is in both regards. The reason you should play Cyberpunk is because the game provides a story unlike any other game in history. i personally don't believe that any other game rivals the story-telling found inside Night City.
