The Devs have been laid off, the studio closed.
Company doesn't say a word, with NDAs in effect stopping former devs from saying anything.
Yet it is still being sold, even on sale right now. This is a literal scam.

Noble Fates is an amazing mix of Dwarf Fortress and Rimworld, making for a enjoyable and accessible experience.

Building is incredibly fun and diverse, making for amazing looking towns with next to no effort. The Z-Levels are easy to grasp and engaging to use. I added a cellar next to my food storage cellar that I use as the "dining hall" and was able to heat from the forge that was coincidentally above.

There is plenty of content with regular updates. If you go through the reviews a lot of them quote stuff to be missing that is in the game by now, like children for example.

Tooltips show quickly what your pawns will think of certain actions according to their personal opinions, which is an incredibly welcome feature coming from Dwarf Fortress.

Just like Risk of Rain 2 did for its predecessor Helldivers 2 perfectly preserves the DNA of the first one while changing the perspective. It is still just as much chaotic fun as the first one.

Devs are amazing, adding new content and hotfixing left and right.

MAJOR ORDER COMPLETE
The publisher Sony did a huge ♥♥♥♥ up but we made them pull back their decision by reviewbombing, thus the edit. Man I love this community.

i own like... 250 games on steam alone, not counting physical copies andswitch games.
its the best game out of all of them.

is it fun? i guess.
is it fair? hell no.
is it a memorable experience with an amazing world and atmosphere where the only real progression you make is the improvement of your ability to control the protagonist and learning about the traits of the wildlife around you? hell yes.
will you have to watch a video to understand the lore? probably.
will you enjoy this game like i did? probably not.

Alright, I'm not a man of reviews, but this game deserves it.

It's a very niche game, so you will either love or hate it.
You like combined arms war? This game has it (except planes... yet?)
You like the logistical aspect of securing tactical locations and hindering enemy logi? Hell yea!
You like really hecking good voicechat which creates unique movielike scenes and fun interactions? Heck to the yea!

The devs are active too, but be wary of "vets" hating on them for realizing the game to their vision, so the game is not as arcady anymore.

There are contras too, but they usually get resolved quickly and vary from update to update.

Speaking of updates, Foxhole just got Trenches! My opinion on that? Singing "diggy hole" with my fellow engineers just before 15 Wardens charge out of their trenches into ours is absolutely amazing.

I bought this game the day it was released and, having played space engineers for 500+ hours back then I knew that it was going to be a bit buggy, and it was... and it still is to this day, still I really enjoy it, especially since the release of planets.

Pros:
-Structural integrity
-Planets
-Multiplayer is fun
-Frequent updates (more or less)

Cons:
-Buggy (not a big deal)
-Not much to do in singleplayer

8/10
Best buy when on sale, it's worth ~15€ in it's current state
