Well the game was good. However, since the new update I cant get the damn thing to load. If it isn't fixed soon I'll be demanding my money back. I didn't pay for a product so it could sit on my list and never be able to be used. Sort it out or lose money.

Ah the Dead Space remake.

As a huge fan of the original Dead Space (not 2 & 3) I had to buy and play this.
So lets talk about what was done well and what felt strange.

GRAPHICS

First off graphically the game has been brought to today's standards. Which is a fantastic thing to see. Textures on the assets within the game look really well done, especially the active textures we see on the organic material around the ship. They really dug deep and pulled of some unique and fantastic looking active textures on the remake. Very well done to the texture artists involved!

The assets themselves have all be remodelled for the most part. Some assets did not change and only had a re-texturing. However, unless you know what to look for you kinda can't tell. Which gives the players a familiar yet beautiful new look to the game.

SOUND

The sound quality in the game has also been improved and has also allowed Isaac to have a voice. This was new and refreshing. Though some of the recycled sounds that continually play throughout the game as you play can become a tad annoying after a while.

Controls

The controls in this remake feel more fluid and the action feels more fluid. You can definitely tell there has been tweaking done to the movements and their pacing to allow for a more fluid experience.

Added Content

I wont list the content they added for spoilers sake. However, I will say they added some suits, enemies, and story bits that really make this version enjoyable to play.

Now with that quick run down I did lets talk about the positives that I took from three play through's of the remake.
The remake took the old game improved upon it and added a bit more than just graphical fidelity. I loved the remade atmosphere, re-textured assets, re-modelled assets, new assets, new story bits and the overall familiar yet new feel to the remake. It was like playing my favorite old game without the disappointment of how poorly it aged.

The things I didn't enjoy or found off may be a better way of putting it. I will first start with Isaac himself, who had a complete overhaul of his appearance. Which I don't like or dislike it just caught me off guard and left me sitting here wondering why?

Next the Combat suit that you can purchase after your first play through. This suit looks cool at first. However, it stands out within the world. it feels as if it doesn't belong. I pondered on this for a while trying to figure out why. I have come to the conclusion that it is because it lacks texturing, it's panelling is far to smooth and clean for the game. It should have scratching or carbon fiber textures on it something to take away from that glossy plastic look.

My next weird little thing was the active blood textures on the uniform. I noticed that they kind of stream like a water fall then disappear. which is cool from a distance, however, up close looks weird. Which is all I can really say about that active texture. It gave me pause as I sat there thinking, hmmm..... was this an after thought?

Conclusion

The Dead space remake is very pretty and the dev team did a fantastic job on assets, asset textures, active textures, sound quality, and mechanics. They knocked it out of the park and produced a remake that felt familiar yet fresh. I 100% recommend the Dead Space remake to both returning and new fans alike. It is hard for me to say to wait for a sale on the game because, I know exactly how much work goes into these products. This remake would have taken a lot of work as they would have to properly plan everything from the ground up almost like a brand new game. So that they could properly improve on the original like they have here.

I hope my review helps you make an informed decision and I hope you have an awesome day!

Hello,

I decided to give Callisto Protocol a try, seeing as i had read and seen a lot of opinions on the game.
With that said I would like to give you my opinion of the game so far that is completely unbiased and will look at multiple aspects of this title.

So lets get started.
First off Lets talk about the story. In this story we play as a cargo transport pilot who is delivering a package from a prison planet. This delivery is supposed to be his last to set him up comfortably for life. His partner has some reservations about the whole job and thinks its fishy. Fast forward, (no spoilers) you get trapped on the prison planet and need to escape because weird stuff is going down.

- Now is the story over the top unique?
No, however, it is a space horror and the genre itself is rather limited so to have another entry with a slightly unique story
compared to the rest of the genre. It's not bad.

Story aside lets look at graphics.

- Graphics are nice. Textures look pretty good and are amplified by the light maps that are used to push the effects of each
scene. I do feel some scenes need a little cleaning when it comes to light maps. As in some areas are too dense and we
run into FPS drops due to the density of the light maps in the area.

Game play.

- The game play is fluid and provide the over the shoulder play style that we have become used to from this genre. Now
where things may get tacky for some is that this game is I believe meant to feel like a High resolution cinematic
experience. With that said combat is more paced and more dramatic to try and make the player feel like it is a real
struggle. Which in most cases it is fun with that thought in mind.

Character models.

- The character models in this game are interesting. Human models look very nice. Creature models are strange yet not
completely unique as I have noticed a monster or two that looks like it drew inspiration from Devil may cry. With that said
still really cool models.

Weapons.

- The weapons are I would say pretty standard and nothing super out of the box about them.

Overall

The game is an interesting experience that feels like it draws inspiration from many places. Hopefully if this is a game that becomes a franchise, that they explore some more original ideas, and some more unique content to allow their game to stand out from the rest.

Would I recommend the game?

If you are a fan of horror and specifically space horror, this game will scratch that itch. However, don't expect an action packed unique thrill ride. This is a cinematic experience, everything is dramatic for effect. With that in mind I believe the game is worth at least a play through.

Have a great day Gamer's and keep kicking butt!

Another iteration in a well established franchise. However, it was rather underwhelming. Limited leaders, science trees feel limited and for some reason no matter how nice I am to India Ghandi hates me. lol

The game is good. However, as it sits civ v is still a better option.

I saw this game and decided to try it because I love the art. I also love platform games.

I was not expecting to fall in love with this game though. This game should have been given game of the year. For best title that should be considered a triple A. Well done to the Dev team behind the title.

The game can be fun and has a lot of potential. However, combat systems are rather choppy and lack fluidity, as far as environment models and character models go, they are basic which is fine. The biggest glaring issue is the choppy combat and movement systems. If they were more fluid and polished this game would be a lot better than what it is.

Doom Eternal.....
I have played Doom since the very first one launched, I have always had a soft spot for Doom. When Doom 2016 launched I was thinking - god I hope they don't butcher this!
It released and it was amazing, I absolutely loved it to pieces!

Doom Eternal came out and it's a good game, it added a lot of retro throw back that I love. However, it did some stuff that ruined the experience for me. I am all for difficulty, hell I play Dark Souls to relax. lol
This game wanted to add a layer of difficulty and I get it, change the flavor change the flow. However, it was implemented in such a way that it kills the pace of the game. Instead of a non stop heavy metal heart pounding battle with hell, we got soft rock with little skirmishes with bosses that became more like puzzles that we had to guess and flip weapons on the fly for the dumbest reasons.

Now they are adding angels and secret planet societies. Oh and lets not forget the giant space ship with floating castles attached to it. I feel like this game is a mix of Diablo 3 and Battle Star Galactica. The whole story made me feel this way, maybe its just me and this is just my opinion.

is it a fun game to play?
Yes I have enjoyed it so far.
Is it the best Doom game?
Pfffft, no! not even a little bit, IMO

Lords of the fallen is a Strategic ARPG that has a unique feel. You start off feeling weak and constantly overburdened with clunky rolling and horribly paced weapon swings. By the end of the game you feel like a Powerful warrior with clunky rolling and horribly paced weapon swings. lol

On a Serious note, it is not a bad game at all. It takes getting used to and more than one play through to understand everything. Would be fantastic to see this polished and expanded into a Lords of the Fallen 2 with some Coop, maybe, would be nice.

If you like Strategic ARPG's like Dark Souls, BloodBorne, Sekiro, and many other FromSoft titles. You will most likely enjoy this one.

p.s. Little secret, the longer you hold onto the souls the better the drop rewards are! lol

I'm not really sure why this game was listed under the tag souls-like. It is absolutely nothing like Dark Souls. I will give you my full thoughts after exploring the beginning of the game. I will add onto this by the end of the game so players can see how the game influenced my opinions.

So far I will say that Greed Fall is very much atmosphere driven. An absolute unique lighting system adds to the atmosphere. At times walking around I feel blown away and at other times I feel underwhelmed due to texture and transition choices made.

Character models are basic and are kind of a source of a nostalgia feeling as they remind me of Fable characters for some reason. Though the characters are not over the top like we would get in a top triple A title, they fit the world in a way that makes the world and your equipment seem more important then the character itself. My biggest issue with the character models is some aspects are a tad blocky this can be seen in a lot of cut scenes and even exploring the game.

Voice acting is another little issue I have as the character models lips are ummm, south park esc, if that makes sense. As in the mouth movement is very stiff and doesn't follow the flow of the words being spoken. The voice acting itself is a tad over the top at times. Rather than feeling organic, conversations feel a tad forced and rough. Facial expressions and lip movements don't follow the tone of the conversation. One conversation our character has is with an important NPC who our character states "you look concerned, is there a reason for this?" and it pans to the character and the character looks blank faced and starts talking like a muppet.

Fighting mechanics are interesting if not strange. I'm finding them odd, however, with that said I play a lot of Dark Souls so this may be why. As the Combat style in this game is more like a.... to be honest it kind of feels like a wrestling game with sword. It may be that goofy ass kick but, yeah!

Would I recommend the game?

Yes, if it is on sale. It is a unique and interesting game it just needs polishing.
