Hardcore survival game with glitchs, a huge learning curve, politics, tribes, and demands patience.

Early on there are glitchs to deal with but as you get better in ark you learn to avoid them, even use some to your advantage.

The learning curve is steep and even daring to say your still a noob at 700 to 1000 hrs.

Politics are an absolute must if you want to play on a public server and not get wiped MORE often.

Public servers are not built for the solo player, find or make a tribe with guys who are active and dont mind farming and dont run their mouth on global chat.

Finally you must be patient you will be wiped, taunted, harassed, wiped, bullied, extorted. wiped, captured, and wiped. But keep going and you will get smarter, faster, and eventually successful.

PS. if you like PVP but have a job, try OFFLINE raid protection servers ( ORP ).

All in all an amazing game that has plenty of issues, i just wish when i told people about it i didnt need to say the word dinasours.

I love this game, but i cant recommend it because it advances so little every year and for 60$ it shouldnt need much more advancement but it does.

Issues:

Persistance persistance persistance!:
If i carry a barrel for 30 mins though a zombie town/looters to a forest and place it in a bush, load it with guns and ammo. I expect it to not despawn randomly. ( I read they are working on it, maybe we will see that in 2020, with the speed of these devs )

Night play:
i love nightplay, its honestly the best part of day z with friends. But the batteries run out too quickly, and i know
"fap fap fap realism"
but if i dont have a spot to store extra batteries ( persistance ) ive gotta carry them on me taking up valuable spots in my inventory.

Inventory:
The inventory always organizes its self, meaning if i take something out and put it back it goes in almost randomly, it ♥♥♥♥♥ up my other items and I cant get the gun back in or a canteen back in to switch weapons ffs, Have it so the items go back into the same spot like every other game. ** also theres no rotating items to fit better **

Server jumping:
I use the hell out of this, but its what makes the game silly. Loot whoring and ghosting. I know i know theres a timer for ghosting. But it doesnt matter if you lock your stuff somewhere just trying to keep it safe for a night and someone can just pop in and out.

Need a "friend" system
I wanna play day z with a friend, ok great spawn on the beach and run till you figure out where you and your friend are located on the map, then run twards eachother ( hopefully ) could take 30 mins or more to find your friend before you get to even start the game. I get that there shouldnt be spawning on your friend during fights, But a fresh spawn both new characters. They need to spawn together to actually start the game alot faster.

Zombies:
Clunky as hell, fighting them feels like fighting a peice of paper, no real feedback for hitting them.

Edge of the world:
Wtf is this, you get to the edge of the map and its just grass and some hills. I can just run to the edge of the world and put a bolt on my W key and run safely to the outside of anywhere i want, then just cut back into the map and avoid allll the towns/roads/zombies/looters.

I tried my best to work around the problems, trying to find any un conventional way of playing that solves my issues, But I cannot find anyway to overlook it.

TLDR: Fun game for a few hours, every few years.
