I didn't buy Third Rome. I probably won't, at least not for awhile. But the modding community has kept it interesting and fresh for me through both the DLC debacle and the (from an American perspective) insanely long Swedish vacation season.
To be honest, I probably won't stop playing this game until EU5 or Vicky 3 comes out, and I bet I'll hit 4000 hours before October. Thanks for the nigh-endless entertainment, Paradox and modders!

This game is absolutely fantastic, and the Specter Knight game was awesome as well! Thanks to Yacht Club for giving the Treasure Trove to early buyers! It benefits me, so I like it! :D

This game is pretty fun for a little while, but eventually you realize that nothing you do really matters that much. There's no real way to ensure that you make a great game by hiring skilled people and spending a lot of time on it, and you can't really innovate or break typical genre pairings and conventions (You can, technically, but you'll get low ratings all the same).

I'd love a game, maybe a sequel, where you had more control over what the content and quality of your game ended up being, instead of just playing the vidya game roulette over and over.

I have put an honestly ridiculous amount of time into this game, spread out since a little after release. It's one of the only games that gets me genuinely salty, so I take breaks from it every now and again.

I've got to say, though, that I'm very disappointed with the DLC content that's been put out for this game, from the huge delay for the Kickstarter character DLC to the weird little cosmetics. It's true that I could just refuse to buy them (and I do), but it kind of sours the whole experience for me.

On the other hand, I sold 3 special event Winter Dice for about 5 dollars a piece on the Steam marketplace about a year ago, so maybe I'm just hypocritical scum.

The writing in this game is top-notch, surpassed only by Scott Benson's social media presence.

I bought this game because I had been in the mood for a turn-based, grid-combat strategy RPG. It doesn't really deliver on that, very well. That being said, there aren't a ton of major, glaring problems, besides maybe the balance.
For example, there's this one mission pretty early on that gives you enough experience to level up several times, but one of your characters is forced to sit out. As a result, they become woefully underleveled and useless on the next difficulty spike.

Admittedly, I didn't finish the game, because the gameplay just wasn't interesting enough to keep me hooked after the weird balance issues started to show themselves. I wasn't a big fan of the art style, either, but that's really my fault. It's not I didn't see the screenshots before I got the game, and it's more personal preference than anything.

When I got this game, I frankly thought I'd be disappointed by the weird sports/combat gameplay, but it grew on me pretty quickly. The rest of the game (Story, sound, dialogue) is of the fantastic quality one could expect from Supergiant, and I'm nearly done playing it through a second time to explore some of the branching options.

Very nice for a relaxed evening of vulpine forest exploration.
