Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is pretty much more Borderlands 2, which is a good thing. The story of this Borderlands is great and the new adition of laser weapons provides for an even bigger arsenal of guns. The gameplay is still somewhat the same with some new interesting mechanics like oxygen and zero gravity.

However if you haven't played Borderlands and Borderlands 2, I would recommend you try those first and see if you liked them. If you enjoyed Borderlands 2 and want more, then buying this can't go wrong.

So before I state the reason I personally enjoy the game, I'll first talk about a few things that might make you dislike the game. First of all the balancing of the game is all over the place, I could not tell you which faction is the best out of the three. All I know is that they all complain about one another. However the biggest problem in balance is double teaming and low population, they are however trying to deal with these problems.

The performance of the game also isn't the best. When battles get really big (which sorta is the purpose ofthe game) it can tank your fps which is unfortunate.

These are for me the things I personally would like to see fixed A.S.P. Sometimes these problems can ruin the experience of the game and I have a good feeling alot of people quit for those reasons. It also doesn't help the game is only active during primetime, not that I can play outside of primetime but still.

So why do I recommend the game and keep continuing to play the game? Let's start of with a few of the things everyone will tell you. It is a unique experience you won't find in any other game. combined arms, three factions, up to hunderds of players fighting against each other in a open world map.

Playing with a outfit or platoon can make the game alot more fun, and I would recommend as a new player it is best you do. Personally I mostly play this game with small squads or solo but if you have never played the game consider this, there is no MMR or instance, you will be thrown in the map with the best and the worse. So be prepared to die... alot and then die again. This game is harsh and the learning curve is quite steep, you will have to either watch some guides or slowly learn from your mistakes.

Also please do not think this game is pay2win just because you get killed by all kinds of weapons. This is simply not true, once again this game is openworld and thus you are fighting the best and worse. Your starter equipment is arguably the best of it's kind, everything else is just for builds and support. And as a beginner I would not worry about getting new weapons, what you get is good enough to get you through the battlefield.

And it is free 2 play, so you have nothing to lose gaving it a shot.

Borderlands 2 is an openworld FPS that is all about shooting and looting. With a big variety of guns and equipment the game will make sure the gunplay is different everytime. However the combat is usually the same and can become abit repetitive even, I personally didn't have this problem but I know people who had it ruin their experience of the game.

The story of Borderlands is one you either love or hate. It sometimes has a hard time taking itself serious but beneath all the jokes there is an actual really good story.

Overall I recommend you give Borderlands 2 a try, especially when it is on sale.
