So iam at around 150h and just achieved my very last achievement and here are my thoughts:

THE CHAR EDiTOR iS AMAZiNG!!!

On a technical Gameplay perspective I must say overall it’s a great improvement from DD 1; I must admit the removal of a second weapon/skill layout hit me abit in the gut aswell- however if I think abt it in DD 1 u had 6 skills total as one of the buttons was assigned for jump at all times except you used dagger then it was the dodge button. With some of the skills integrated in the combos and attack patterns and the unique skill feature you got abt 5-6 skills pseudo equipped which balances it out. You need to think much more about your party configuration to balance things out. It is also nice for pawns to focus either on melee or ranged at all time.
I agree that the Enemy verity lacks as especially some of our fan favourites got removed as the Hydra.
Story wise I loved it 70h in; exploring the world mostly and slowly progressing main quests- but then suddenly the narrative came waay to fast to a halt and I would have preferred there be more quests in bakbatahl and quests that lead back to vermund- even though there are a lot of side quests that the game treats somewhat as main quests- I wished they would have been more tied together.

This Dragons incarnation certainly isn’t Grigori- in DD 1 you build a different relationship to the dragon- while in DD 2 your relation is more tied to the Watcher. The dragon only pops up during the end and I wished we spend more time together as I really like the voice actors work and would have preferred a multi stage last bossfight similar to DD 1 but alas…

The best DD 2 had to offer imo was the Sphinx and maybe a DLC about her would be actually really good!

The Endgame is the most disappointing- at first it made me drop my jaw in amazement until I realised it was just an amazing painting on a cardboarbox with a hollow inside.
I played so long because I simply wanted more- overall I loved it still…
But I must admit it wasn’t what I expected after the decade long wait and longing.

I am a total sucker for Dragons Dogma so I return to the first one and finish the rest of the achievements there until a (hopefully) amazing DLC releases that gives proper endgame.

I have switched Voiceover to Chineese and played the game for around 45h and finished my first play through and collected all there is to collect and gained all steam achievements to this game and this is what I think:

It is not Nioh 2. People like to compare it to it and they do have some distinct familiarities. I do believe the 3 weapon stances could’ve been amazing in this one but they aren’t…
However when I went back into nioh 2 I noticed how I emidiently missed Wo Long’s countering/dodge system.

The story is similar to the Nioh but its not as captivating as the constumizable main char has like no real connection to the plot; No Geralt-San either.

The Music is amazing and I definitely have to buy the soundtrack!

I played sekeiro to a certain point but I did not like it how the player was narrowed to the katana and the prosthesis. I prefer Wo Long actually as it lets me use Greataxes.
However the ratio of the Spirit damage big weapons do to small ones the small ones seem to win in every category which is sad- Demons are noying to fight and it seems like the main focus the game is going for is to deflect until ur enemy is wrecked. Its abit annoying that human enemies do not have the same spirit rules as the player has- something nioh did much better with ki- the enemy humans had the very same ki rules as the player (just much more ki when they’re bosses).
Which made uses of big heavy weapons more worth it to whittle down the enemy, I still play with great axes but the windups are very annoying in this fast paced game- using ur big ass hammer against blocking human enemies seems to not do that much so that’s annoying.

Now special arts on weapons seem cool- you can only use them when you are in spirit advantage- but then having a unuiqe art is required too so you don’t get interrupted (BRUH) -> but then even with full spirit you use your special art but then the enemy decides to use theirs aswell- their spirit gauge is fat ass red and yours is high-blue-super-moon-> similar to rock paper scissors of course that means: YOU LOOSE- yes you only always can play paper here and the boss uses scissors all the way- ITS ANOYiNG. Like damn let me use my weapon arts!

Collecting flags is kinda fun in each mission, if you forgot 1 or 2 flags you can just mow every enemy over to look for it due to oyur high morale rank- I fought all the bosses with all the flags – as I always do so the game is rather easy tbh. Now NG+ is somewhat more challenging due to the morale adjustments.

Aside all this I love deflecting so that’s addicting enough to play the whole game.

I am on new game plus now and collect equipment for the 3 upcoming DLC.

Its still fun but needs a lot of work. I do wish for a Wo Long 2 or maybe a new Nioh game that utilises both game mechanic to make something even better.

Okay, why is this game still allowed to be on Steam?
Its not like it feels like at the game isnt worked at all but...i boot up the game in 2022 and cant even move at all...
I bought this game to support the grand idea of an Dragon (Action)RPG.
I doubt this will ever get a comeback- with so many bad reviews...
11 and a half years have passed and we got a prettier Title Screen and the inability to move in game.
Tbh even if they need 20 years as their life project- if they keep at it...and keep the community posted and updated- i would still recommend supporting this project with purchases...but how things are looking- dont waste your money!

I love it! For those who played the first game, a few things changed. You are a silent protagonist now by your own making! I always love it if we get to role-play like this! At first i thought the cut scenes might be not as good but i was wrong, despite not being a talkative character tokichiro makes up for it 100 times over...i just love him and the story around him.
The Yokai abilities are amazing- either it lets you grow parts of yokai (my preference) or transform fully into them OR you use them like a pet to charge at them…collecting them became reminiscent to pokemon. The thing is, some yokai abilities feel overpowered and the bosses seem to get flattened by them quite quickly. But I heard the late new game + will add new abilities to bosses so I look forward to that. (I am currently in the Dream of the Wise)

Best Tower defence game i ever played! And best Balanced! Its much easier for somone who doesnt to pay money to get the cards you like to have. And no stupid leveling system, that increases any stats. Just the amount you can have in your deck.

Alone the first Missions are amazing epic, who dont like the moment where your opponent says "just one did this?"
Well, i hope the Atmosphere looks better in the Future, and a better Game Balance. Gamplay is pefect but in one point, i need a Sword ^^ :P I cant wait to see the next updates
The Music is Awesome! Gives the Right Anime Atmosphere!

An amzing Game! Reminds me of Monster Hunter, nice doin' CAPCOM! The only thing what bothers me is the tiny Gameworld. Well its not that tiny, the Story and the World have much more potential thats all...well and the Gameplay aswell. The Gameplay is Amazing indeed, but have also lots of Potential.
And a Multyplayer Support like in Monster Hunter would be awesome ;)
