Hidetaka Miyazaki's magnum opus.

The ship is an interesting game that has a lot to offer. If I had to describe it I would say it's like the Sims and the Assassin's creed multiplayer combined, all along with a rather interesting art style. It is like the Sims in that your character has persistent needs throughout the game that you must deal with, and along with the hunt and hunted type pvp you'll be doing means you have to balance killing your target, hiding from the person hunting you, and making sure your hygene, hunger, tiredness and other statuses are fullfilled. The game also features an ecconomy where you get money for kills and this can be spent on items or supplies to refill hunger or thrist.

Overall the game is a boat load of fun and it gets even better with friends, if you and some friends can buy this together it should keep you entertained for a while. I've not seen any downsides yet and the only one I could list is if you don't really like this type of pvp multiplayer.

Dark Souls is truly one of the greatest RPG experience to date. It is an amazingly deep, interesting lore filled world that all connects together perfectly with no loading screens or down time. It doesn't shove the story or aims of your quest down your throat and allows players to go to which ever of the vastly changing zones that want to go to and at what time. This game is unforgiving but never seems impossible if you take the time to learn the level and enemies associated with it. It has a huge amount of replay value and the community is always bristling with ideas for challenge runs and ways to really spice up the game play.

My one complaint would be the fact that the PC is pretty poor and many people with experience frame rate issues and bugs even on decent machines, in addition to that it is almost impossible to use a keyboard and mouse so really do buy a 360 pad for this title, it is so worth it. Finally it runs on Games for Windows Live and the Pvp community is very small at this stage. Despite these issues there are mods like DsFix which fix a lot of control and performance issues just fine and once fixed the games runs solidly.

Overall this is one of the most deep, real and fleshed out world in any game series and the small (but fixable) problems shouldn't get in the way of a great time. Buy this game right now and you won't regret it. Remember to PRAISE THE SUN!
