I hadn't played Eternal in about a year so it was hard from the get go, you're immediately dropped in the deep end. The arena's in the beginning are quite small which felt a little cheap and annoying. Things improved towards the end of the first level and that's where things got really good. It's much more balanced after the beginning.
The new enemies are so-so, I think others are blowing them out of proportion TBH. There's a static eye tower which is a bit annoying and lame but at least it's easy to kill. This isn't in the game too much and is only in 1 big arena battle. The spirit makes you use the microwave attachment which is not something I ever use but at least it dies fairly quickly with it. There's an enemy later on that is invulnerable until an attack window like the marauder. The window is pretty large and a single headshot will kill it, you just have to be paying attention which is the problem. I can 100% understand people's annoyances but it's really not that bad.

I'd give Eternal 10/10 and this DLC 8/10.

The game is amazing just buy it already.
