Volcano Princess is such an extremely heart-warming game about a father (the player) raising their young daughter. I don't think I've ever felt the feeling of father-hood quite like this in any media before. There are mis-translations that occur many times in the game, but it doesn't even matter when the writing from my daughter's dialogue swells and warms my heart every single time.

I refuse to even imagine going through this game via the evil routes because I feel like it would detract from what makes this game so beautifully touching: which is that incredibly wholesome father to daughter relationship that develops as she grows up with you.
