Not recommended until there are more updates. The gameplay is very static. I will try it again once the factions and zombie/civilian infection spread is added.

Really not worth the money in the current state. Possibly for $10 or less. The ship battles are fun but everything surrounding it is very tedious.

My biggest wish for the ship battles is more ephasis on your sailors, maybe abilities or passives other than stat increases. Flintlocks, nets, different melee weapons? Sailor combat is definitely the weakest point of the battles, your double sword guy is going to beat their navigator everytime and vice versa. I can understand the focus on ship to ship battles but boarding parties are part of the pirate fantasy in my mind.

Customizing your ship for your preferred combat style works niceley. I'm hoping for personalization in the future of your ship and sailors.

The exploration portion of the game consists of running around a frame and clicking on the quests. They spawn randomly inside of the frame and you need to complete a set amount of them before moving to the next. During your time there is a timer counting up until a random cult event comes chasing you. There isn't much to it.

As of now I wouldn't recommend it for the current price, but I will try it out again on full realease or big patch. It's worthy of the Early Access title.

One of the best social experiences on VR and it's free! Constant updates and large playerbase always gives you something to do.
