I wanted to like this game. I did. I'm an avid fan of the Souls seris, with 400+ hours played. So naturally, I was glad that this style of RPG was seeing some love. With that being said, this game is not similar Dark Souls. If you've never played a Souls game before, then play this first. It came out after, yet it seems like it just shares a common ancestor. Where as Dark Souls became a genre-defining RPG, Lords of the Fallen is just... Sad. Clunky movement, lame bosses (first 2 bosses are generic large humanoids 1-handing a 2-handed sword with a great shield) hardly any spell variety as far as I can tell, and an uninteresting story. I know what your thinking though, "You've only played 1 hours though, what if it gets better later on?"
Well, whenever you play a game that is excusivley single-player, and the enemies have hitboxes like they playing on the other side of the Earth from you. It really takes life out of you.

TL;DR - Thought it was a new take on Dark Souls, it's actually a clunky piece of garbage. Think about buying it, and then immedietly kill the brain-cell(s) that thought about buying it.

Unless you're EXTREMELY bored, or have access to a time machine, DON'T BUY THIS GAME.

Pros:
-Lots of characters to choose from.
-Can play as Light Side or Dark Side.

Cons:
- Only the Knight, and Druid classes are good. (Only after Darkness Staff)
- Can only play Dark Side after suffering through the Light Side.
- Terrible writing / story.
- Clunky fighting, a lot of aimless swinging.
- Terrible writing / story. I really can't get over this.

I love RPGs of all shapes, sizes, and ages. While this one was great for the first 20 minutes. There's no real story to get behind, and the combat is surely not worth it to play. Might be worth picking up if you want to take what little time you have on this Earth, and spend it rolling around in this ♥♥♥♥ that is an RPG.
