Early Access Review
Update made my saves unplayable, bus wheels disconnect when you reload and you will get launched randomly, losing wheels and parts and ending miles from a road.
It's just tedious to play it at this point, having already lost 15hrs+ of gameplay and am not having fun fearing my progress void if i get launched randomly or with the next update.

Short review: Don't buy this game. 4.5/10

Campaign is stale after 5-10hrs - that's playing the campaign not building a vehicle, physics engine sucks, some features are plainly unusable -> modular engines.

It's not a game, it's a tool, like Cad software used to design houses.
If you like to design houses, hey, maybe you'll like this game.
Most of us aren't architects though.

If you're looking to play a Search and Rescue game, a game with exciting missions and maybe a story arc, or some kind of development/progression, beautiful new landmasses to discover and natural disasters, THEN DON'T BUY THIS GAME!

You might make a decent vehicle after downloading 90% of it - if not all of it - from the workshop from people with coding degrees who abuse bugs as if they were speedrunners, you might even be able to make for example a float plane float without having its pontoons being bigger than the fuselage and you might be able to build a car with a custom engine that doesn't overheat in seconds with a functioning automatic gearbox....

You might, after 1400 hours, you MIGHT.

This game would be great if these things happened:

- Make an actual campaign:
- Add actual progression.
- Add more than a handful stale mission types.
- Add a story, an actual reason to play it like an end goal. same goes for the DLC, don't add
a new way to play the game without a campaign.

- Change the map:
- Less clutter and more landmasses.
- Add more biomes (currently 2)
- Make the map more compact, it shouldn't
take hours at 100km/h (~62mp/h) to go from one biome to another.

- Fix the physics engine:
- Add a lift mechanic (currently wing sections do nothing except being
light maybe)
- Make water denser (every vehicle feels like it's made of lead)
- Increase gravity (a 25.000 mass vehicle feels light like a feather)
- Add momentum (currently barely exists see previous point)

- Fix the existing features:
- modular engines feel like they have 5-10% of the cooling the simple engines have.

- Add basic game features:
- Make the tutorial helpful.
- Add an optional building tutorial.

- Make the game user friendly:
- Add basic screen editing (you can leave the LUA stuff in)
- Make an easy to use mission editor (you can leave in the LUA one too)
- Allow for changing of the UI/builder background colours.

Let's compare it with a similar game; From the Depths. It's also a voxel based "build and use" game, it is however a fighting game, not a SAR game, so keep that in mind.

From the Depths has:

- Progression
- Multiple campaigns
- Lore
- Multiple campaign maps
- Map diversity
- You can speed up time whilst traveling on campaign maps
- Better physics
- Gravity changes the higher you go
- Momentum
- Working features
- An optional tutorial
- An optional building tutorial
- Editable UI colours
- More user friendlynes
- AI

So if that sounds like a game you want to give a shot at go ahead. It can seem intimidating at first and has a learning curve steeper than a skyscraper but it sure is a completed game.

I haven't mentioned Multiplayer at all,because haven't played it.

Edit:

The Devs added modding support, 2 years too late imo, but looking over recent updates it looks like they lost interest in the game long ago.
Let's hope and pray the community can change/fix the game for free, for what we paid the Devs for.

30 Bucks would be fine for this beta, not 50.
