Campaign was really clunky. Had I paid full price I would have refunded the game instead of finishing (I got it 65% off). Lots of pathing issues, objectives were unclear, and auto saves are borderline useless because it only keeps one per mission. If you were to play a different mode it might be better but I can't be bothered tbh, by the end of the campaign I was just annoyed more than anything.

1 step forward 5 steps back from Planet Coaster 1. Just buy that one for way cheaper

Biggest issues with the game:

Long queue times
Poor matchmaking
Poor tutorial/new player experience
Monster is unsatisfying even when balanced properly

They had a 6+ month beta test in which they didn't even attempt to address these issues, which are all still huge problems now that's it's in early access.

That being said, when you do finally get into game and it actually happens to be evenly matched, the game is incredibly fun. It just happens way too rarely.

Maybe I'll try it again in a few months when people can connect to the servers properly

Honestly it's just a buggy mess, takes ages to get anything done right now. Maybe in a few versions when they've made the game playable it'll be fun and worthwhile, but steer clear for now.

This isn't so much of a game as much as it is an interactive story, but if that's your thing, then definitely get this game. It's a really beautiful, touching story that kept me engaged throughout, as there's actually a couple stories going on. That being said, it only takes about 1.5 hours to complete, so I'd recommend waiting until its on sale, as I think the full price is a bit much for what you get.
