Sakura Angels

So I started getting into Visual Novels because of how fun and interesting some of the stories and characters can be in them. After I finish a Visual Novel I will say a few things I liked about it here on my profile. Angels had an alright story that was pretty simple but not simple enough to be boring. It was around a 7 hour long story atleast at the pace I read so it was long enough where the money was worth it. The story was good and your two angels Sakara and Hikari were both interesting characters that both were easily lovable. There were few choices that either leaned towards one angel or the other and at the end it determined what angel ended up truely liking you more then just a friend. Though that didn't make a huge difference for replayability the first time around you will notice your choices effected the ending a little. Things I did not like about it was how it ended when I thought they could of still continued it and the main character Kenta was not likable at all. When I play Visual Novels the aspects i want the most is a main protagonist I can really love and remember and a emotional ending which this game had niether. One of my first Visual Novels in years I give this game a 6/10 and hope the other games this company made has a little more emotional aspect to it.

Sakura Beach

This was my second visual novel that I finished and I have to say I loved this one much more then Angels even though at the beggining I wasn't liking it that much till about halfway through the story. The story a guy you play as named Seiji who daydreams more often then ever and his two childhood friends Ayumi and Momoko who have not seen him in a while so they plan a trip to a beach together for a week. With there being about four choices in the game but not meaning a thing I was worried I wasn't going to like this much as much as the last, but I loved the story for this one and actually liked Seiji later on in the story. At first I thought Seiji's situation with the two girls was the same thing as the Sakura Angels story minus the conflict but later on you find out why he was acting like that and start to not hate him any more for how he was at the start of the novel. The girls on the other hand cute for sure but not as likable as the ones from angels they just didn't jump out to me in a lovable way like the past game characters did. Though that does not mean I did not like them they were cute and funny and I am hoping in the sequel I can get more attatched to them and hope they do something that will make me actually remember them as amazing characters. Also th eending almost had me shed a tear unlike angels but I did not. So somewhat emotional, around a 5 hour story, alright characters, great artwork, I give this a solid 8/10 simply because some aspects may of fell short for this novel the emotional ending of it is what really sealed the deal for me and is what I love most about these visual novels. Also probably one of the only situations in history where Polygamy wasn't bad cause how it lead to it.

Sakura Beach 2

So now more into visual novels I've been expecting more and more from newer ones I play or atleast lenghthy ones which this one was not. The sequel to Sakura Beach and a very interested story but only being around 3 hours long it was much shorter then the first which was disappointing. That doesn't mean I am not suggesting it so the story takes place about 8 months after the first one and Sieji, Ayumi, and Momoko go back to the same beach they went to last time for vacation. With both the girls trying harder to for Seiji's love with the new Harem they created at the end of the first one it definetly was more interesting then the first one. Especially when they throw in a new girl Seiji just meets named Nene she then is added to the Harem and Seiji has 3 girls he has to think about. Do not want to spoil to much but at the end theres 4 choices that actually lead to 4 different endings which is one reason that saved the game for me and made me love the characters a lot more. 2 out of 4 of the ending almost had me shed a tear but once again close but no cigar. Even though I finally came to love the characters and be more attatched to them it wasn't good that it took two games for me to love them so much I should love the characters from the beggining so I care so much at a emotional level by the end. As for the new character it hurt me to do her ending cause how much it hurt the feelings of the other two so I did not really end up liking her at all. In the end the story may of been short but everything else was great about the story and visuals so I give this novel a 8/10 but for different reasons that I gave the first the same score.

Sakura Santa

Before I started this one I was very skeptical of even trying it cause I look at all the Sakura games that have mostly interesting ideas then I see this one about santa and I just didn't know if I could take it serously. When I finally started it I actually really liked how the choices really affected the game but because of that every path is only just barely 30 minutes long but if you do every path I can see getting almost 4 hours out of it but I could be wrong because I have only done 3 of the paths. Your a guy named Koji who has a perverted mind compared to the other novels which the guys kind of had a perverted mind but didn't admit like him and your lonely and have no one to spend christmas with. Don't want to spoil whole story but pretty much you bump into 3 different girls in one day and after that is the part I like. Every day that week till christmas you choose who you want to spend your time with and the choices are Akina, Itsumi, and Santa... Yes I said Santa but it's a she obvously she is the actual Santa Clauses daughter. I have only done 3 different stories I have chosen to spend every day with Akina, every day with Itsumi, and every day with Santa. I have not yet trying to spend some days with one character then other days with another character in the same playthrough so there could be many more stories for me to go through or there could just be like 2 or 3 more which is the feeling I'm getting that is gonna happen. I am not going to update this if those playthroughs are vast or if there's any difference I want to leave some surprises so from what I have done so far and to end this review and a goo note The stories I played through were all unique entirely and I go tto know every character and there personalities but was sad at the end that the story was so short even though there is multiple stories they still feel way to short and that's why I'll give this Novel a 6/10 but a 9/10 if we are just talking about the emotions that these unique characters brought out of me and hoping I can find a Visual Novel like this that's just much longer.
