I wanted to like this game because it has a lot of cool concepts and I'm in love with the aesthetics and the atmosphere. The pixel art is gorgeous and the sound design is very very good.

BUT there are two main problems that, imho, kill the overall experience. The first one is the level design: it's flat and anonymous. After 3-4 dungeons I decided to stop exploring and I just started running to reach the end. The only part I liked was the one with the intense light that can damage you (but not the enemies, wtf?) because it's a bit different from the others.
The thing that made me quit completely is the combat itself. I don't like the mechanics, I think they're bad design, especially the healing system (shards AND consumables). I'm ok with interrupting enemies attacks with skills, but everything in this game is too much rage-dependent. I can't combine skills and attacks because everything is locked behind the rage bar and spamming attacks to hope to use a skill after 5 successful attacks is not fun. The fights tend to be all the same after a while and it's just not a good experience for me.

I started the game in normal mode because I usually like challenging games and I prefer playing the game "as intended" but after 3 hours I decided to switch to easy mode. It wasn't enough to make me change my mind. I stopped after getting the greatsword: it has really cool mechanics but it's unusable because it's too slow and all the fun skills are locked behind the rage bar.

I can't recommend this game right now because, despite the outstanding atmosphere, mood and aesthetics, the gameplay felt bad to me and it doesn't get better after four hours of playtime.
I hope this comment could be useful to the devs too: I think you had some great ideas (such as the throwing greatsword + bombs) but the basic structure of the battle system is a bit painful to play. Better luck next time, I guess!

Per essere un porting di un gioco mobile l'ho trovato davvero ben fatto. Inizialmente può sembrare un tantinello legnoso ma ci si abitua facilmente. È sicuramente uno dei migliori soulslike che abbia giocato e lo consiglio vivamente agli appassionati del genere.
+ Diversi personaggi con playstyle diversi tra loro
+ Level design ottimo
+ IA dei nemici buona rispetto ad altri giochi dello stesso genere
+ Estetica molto curata
+ Boss divertenti da combattere

- Controlli non sempre responsivi al 100%
- Grafica non proprio eccellente
- Meccanica della Sanità/Ragione non mi ha convinto più di tanto
- Il funzionamento degli Heggie (rane) non mi è piaciuto e le ricompense non sono granché.

I've been waiting for this game since its announcement. Now I regret purchasing it and I feel dumb for it.
The only good thing about this game is its graphics. I love the art. The rest of the game is awful. It's absolutely unbalanced, the stamina is totally broken and it's not fun to play. I ragequitted and uninstalled at Amulvaro's Observatory after a long session of "Kill the hitbox-broken-golem, then kill the first boss of the game for four times, then kill two hitbox-broken-golems, then the unbeatable dragon knight, then two first bosses together (or three if you're unlucky), then die, respawn and repeat". Oh, and you can't skip them. There's a wall that disappears only if you kill the enemies over and over again.
A waste of time and money. And I'm sad because I truly wanted this game to be good.
