Game concept and execution-wise this game reminds me of Limbo a lot. Short, atmospheric, a story told through observation instead of narrative and every moment is a new mechanic that is not revisited as so that it doesn't go stale.

Overall it is 100% worth it. I'd say maybe wait for Limbo price on the sale as you won't get a better experience, an equal one but wholly different.

A brilliant atmospheric little game and I'm looking forward to more by the studio! The next release could be a vastly different genera of game or not; it wouldn't matter since it is easy to tell that this is a game made from passion.

Not only did I think that it was going to be awesome from the frist few minutes; but it then took a DRASTIC TURN straight motha-♥♥♥♥♥♥ up!

This thing got better and better, the only analogythat can describe this that I can think of is this: Imagine you are eating your favourite food from your childhood and suddenly you start sliding downhill picking up more babes and guns and cars until finally hitting a ramp at the bottom, launching into space and then winning at everything.

Although that might be more of a plot summary than anything else.

First off, this is an AMAZING bit of story telling. I have played it through once and watched Day[9] play it through afterwards. Seeing it for the second time, you notice SO many subtle aspects that simply didn't need to be there but make the story and the game that much more complex and perfect.

Review part:

Sound
: 10/10 would listen again. Moving, and very simple yet nothing more could have been asked of this amazing soundtrack and I'm in fact listening to it as I type this. One moment when a particular song comes on really takes your breath away. For a game with no voice acting and that one particular song comes on... I just... can't even... BAH now I'm crying again.

Visuals:
Hard to put a rating on this, some of the art is a little off but for the overall aesthetic of the game, and what it wants to look like, 9/10. Some scenes in particular though are just incredible.

Gameplay:
is not even needed, there are a few puzzles in the game but they amount to very little and simply add a nice snap back to the "Jobs" of the characters you are experiencing this story through. The way the gameplay is done, with small homages to other game genres as well though is spectacular and hits just the right notes I believe it was intending throughout the game. 10/10

Writing:
Different from story which I cover next. This is about the script for me, how real the characters feel and interact with the world. This game hits the nail on the head. Now you do swap which character you control and hence play a couple times throughout the game but this is worked flawlessly. Never do you feel out of place and experiencing the characters in the way really hits the story home. Speaking of story...

Story:
Now we are on to the last and the big one. I mean what can I say, just buy and play the game. It is £7 I would happily pay again. The emotional impact and the sheer beauty would justify a £30 price tag to me, especially since it is about as long as a lot of triple-A games these days (4 hours). I don't want to spoil ANYTHING but just buy and play this masterpiece.
I have been watching a lot of Anime recently and Anime is known for its stellar story telling and inventive plots. This however takes the biscuit, the biscuit tin and the factory they were made in. No matter how much I hype this game and story it'll never be over hyped since I didn't know that I could in fact feel inside. I'm dead inside and this story made my heart beat more than once.

SPOILER. PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE PLAYED THE GAME!

Seriously, it doesn't ruin anything but it still gives my view on the beauty of the ending and why it'll make you cry like onion cutting ninja's broke into your house.

The best use of "it was all a dream" ever, and yet the most tragic result. The fact that it is the most beautiful love story ever, rubs salt :steamsalty: into the wound even more. You have to remember that it still never happened in real life and that River died practically alone and confused just trying to get Johnny to remember.
