First off, this is a Gotcha Game, and I am a free to play (FTP) player.

I have not spent any money on this game and absolutely love it. I also have realistic expectations as a FTP player. I do not expect to be in the top leader boards or to excel in any of the events. At the time of this edit, I have over 700 hours on steam and more on Mobile, which is one of the best features. You can link your Steam and Mobile accounts to play on the go.

Overall this game is a very good recap of the Final Fantasy 7 and Crisis Core story lines with some extra story content from the First Soldier.

I love the FF7 lore and characters. This game gives you all that with a continuous game play loop. There are new events every month with some weapons and costumes earned for free through game play.

**** Tips ****
- Save your crystals for gotcha events to get good costumes for your main team.
- In the beginning focus on leveling 3 characters and building weapons for those characters.
....... Cloud and Tifa are strong DPS
....... Aerith is best healer/buffer
....... Angeal is best tank
- Some items and additional content unlock from story content, Focus on STORY first.
- Lookup best weapons for each character and focus on getting those to max level and OB6.
- Game mechanics matter, some bosses require specific elements/debuffs to beat.
....... If you get stuck, there are boss guides on Youtube for harder content.
- Major events (anniversary) or crossover events usually have current META weapons and costumes
....... Focus your crystals on your main team or on a specific element needed.
....... Do NOT try to get everything unless you want to spend a lot of money
