Rust with Pokemon in the Upside-Down

The art is good. The gameplay could be good but it's managed poorly. I don't have time for the grind it requires to acquire champions and gear. I just want to have the no-grind version of this because the combat and balance is already set up so well for both large and small scale PvE and PvP. It's like LoL played from and MMO perspective. It's like SMITE with an open world and PvE content. It's like Destiny but... Different. Better? The combat is smooth and as soon as they start working on content that requires more than 3 players it could have great raiding as well. It's fresh and promising.

Except the shop. Except the grind. Except the management.

Dear Devs: I would gladly pay $15/mo to get the version of this that just plays like a match-based shooter/MOBA. Let the people with time grind something like paragon/champion levels that give a negligible-to-most amount of stats.

It's been scratching the itch, and it has potential, but no. Too unfinished, too buggy, too unstable. Some of these things are to be expected with EAs but I'm tired of being okay with it.

PC too janky to run. Sound reason for negative review.

There's no single player, no official server, and trying to host a private game is black screening (has to be force closed).
Accidentally left the game idling too long to refund. :(

Pheons:

Pheons are a currency that you need to spend in order to use the auction house. There is an additional static pheon price to purchasing items from other players ON TOP OF THE GOLD PRICE set by the other player. So purchasing a 500 gold necklace costs me 500 gold AND $3. The worst part is this pheon requirement is present in all forms of trading: auction house, hand-to-hand, and mail. It even costs you pheons to mail your own characters gear. They want me to pay ~$25 to send gear I found on my main to one of my alternate characters. What!?

Because of this the gear market is more volatile than you can imagine. Nobody buys anything that isn't perfectly rolled and meta busters are discouraged from buying testing gear. There are other pay-to-progress aspects of the shop but this is the most absurd and unforgivable one. I think most if not all players would prefer the inability to trade over this slap in the face.

So I think this is a pretty obscure reason to leave a negative review... But there's no flat land. How I'm gunna build a base on a mountain/hill/other sloping land!?

So listen the content is pretty good...
The game however is a cluster♥♥♥♥. Too much is stored client-side and too many 'handshakes' have to take place there are countless invulnerability and duping glitches. Every time they fix something they break something else. Confirmed and admitted exploiters still running around hundreds of reports later. Honestly I'd be more patient if the cheaters were actually being penalized. Some how AGS is severely understaffed I guess? Nothing is reviewed. Fixes happen quickly but they've yet to fix something without breaking something else worse. It's bad.

I'm not a weeb. I don't dislike anime but I don't actively watch any or have never invested in any anime series. This review is mostly pointed towards other gamers like me but the first and major con applies to everyone.

Cons:
- 'Fatigue Points' or energy system that limits your daily play. I have work and a family and still manage to run out of play time before I'm ready to. Your free points will last anywhere from 30 minutes if grinding a specific hard mode dungeon over and over, and 3-4 hours while leveling and learning the game or maybe on an average day.
- 'Cute' dialogue that just reads obnoxious to most adults. Akin to "I can haz cheezburger".
- Standard F2P issues after 10-15 hours like inventory space and running out of freebies
- New player experience isn't bad but may need reworked soon, starting to get the "progress comes too fast" vibe, specifically with early game weapons, you get good freebies and everything that drops is pointless
- The classes have an existing backstory and age. All characters are age 14-20. There is nothing directly inappropriate about the game but it's riding a fine line that the degenerate community likes to blur even further.

Pros:
- It is enjoyable and kills time as a non-weeb, you'll just have to mute everything
