On Your Tail was gifted to me by a friend in the hopes that I would make an episode of it on my YouTube channel. Admittedly I was not enthusiastic about it as, outwardly, it just looked like a strange furry game. Still, as it was a gift, I decided to put it to the side and not look up anything about it so I could go in totally blind. This morning I finally sat down to record the episode and to make a long story short. . .a 30 minute recording session turned into a 4 hour recording session and my single episode will now be a series to game completion. This game hooked me much in the same way that Undertale did, very unexpectedly. This game has strong characters, great story telling, and no shortage of things to do. From working at bull mommy's restaurant to delivering mail and trying HORRIBLY to pronounce various Italian words in a way that would make my Italian friend MuYe cringe I found myself unable to put the game down for 4 hours. Now, though, I've made the mistake of batch recording 4 videos which means I now need to edit and post all of them for my viewers before I can move on to recording Episode 5.

I strongly recommend this game, the art style is delightful, the writing is immersive and the game mechanics are good fun.

It makes me sad to give a negative review to a developer that was nice enough to give me a game for free, especially one I was really hyped for, but, man. . .this game is so unbalanced. The level of affinity you have with each faction at the start of the game plus the fact that every. single. thing. you. do. takes away your reputation with someone, including letting in guests!? The game is unplayable! Stocking the bar is not only extraordinarily expensive, but, you can only buy 3 drinks per faction per day which isn't enough to stay ahead of losing reputation at every turn.

The game has good bones but with how broken the reputation system is currently there is no point buying it or playing it. I've done 9 playthroughs going FULL TILT into trying to keep things in the green and I can't.

So how do we fix it?

-Letting normal guests in should not degrade your reputation, not one of the factions should care who is staying at your hotel. In fact, they would be happy you have a client base so you can remain in business. Only SPECIAL or EVENT guests tied to scripted game events should have a bearing on your reputation.

-The reputation levels should not "unlock" until you've actually met each faction. "The Mafia has gone quiet" doesn't make any sense if I haven't even met them yet does it?

-Your reputation should start at 75 or even 100% with each faction, or at least 50. . .

-The bar should be FAR cheaoper and the number of drinks you order should not be as limited as they are.

Like I said, this game has great bones, I'd love to get all 20 floors of the hotel running and try to deal with keeping it open and checking in and out guests and things, but this game has a ton of issues right now and they need to be fixed.

I'll be following the development of this game in the genuine hope that I can update this review.

I have no idea how this game was released with the amount of issues that it has.

-Steering latency in multiplayer is hideous because they elected not to handle steering client side leading to a second or more of delay sometimes.

-Machine attachments keep getting stuck in the ground causing the machine to do a nose stand and if you reset the machine or detach the tool you lose the attachment forever because it falls under the map.

-The ground gets destroyed by snow, even after being cleared the uneven texture remains necessitating restarting the entire server to smooth the ground back out.

-AI drivers are a disaster

-Traffic cars have absolutely no AI and don't even attempt to stop at signs or crossings and will turn right into you and cause you to lose a load even if you are well into an intersection or across a turn.

It feels like Giants rushed an incomplete title out because they wanted to make a release for the Christmas Season, if anything this should be being sold as a Beta not a full release, Giants should be ashamed of themselves for putting this out in its current condition and I didn't even touch on the issues with the physics engine. I know I for one am disappointed in them for even trying this. Everyone who bought this should get a rebate for some money back and they really need to reevaluate the price of the Year 1 Bundle if they aren't going to finish the base game first.

If I wanted a Beta Test I would have gotten the game off of KeyMailer instead of paying for it.

Disaster

At this point I am only playing it because my friends are, if it weren't for them I'd have refunded the purchase.

Creepy Shift Roadside Diner is a 10/10 entry into the horror genre in my opinion. I received this title on Keymailer and was expecting a small horror game, what I got was so much more. The elements of 2 genres come together in this game very well as you not only play a diner management simulator but also a legitimate horror game. The addition of a score card at the end makes the game re-playable and people in the discord are already challenging each other to get the highest score. Beautiful graphics, great sound design, an excellent entry from an indie developer. Hands down one of my favorite 2024 games to date.

I highly recommend and endorse this game. Some people overlook small, pixel based games like this but No-Skin is a gem hidden in the many boring and repetitive AAA game titles one can find on Steam. I have logged over 24 hours in this game now and I can assure you that the game is still finding ways to surprise me. Especially considering that the game is made by a lone developer it is amazingly well done, will keep you playing for hours and has the ability to go far depending on what development decisions are planned for the future. I can't wait to see what the developer has in store for us along further updates and I believe that you should follow the development with us to find out.

Game worked for an hour and then began crashing constantly, this shouldn't be an issue for a game that costs so much money.

Mods keep the party going in 2020

Do not buy this game, in it's current iteration it totally destroyed my computer on stream, live. . . it will not function at least on windows 10. My mouse became invisible, the UI in game was unresponsive and for some reason it created a situation where Task Manager was un-openable.

I had to restart the computer just to close the game which killed the stream, obviously.

Anyway I bought this game for nostalga purposes but I guess it is just better to leave some things in the past.

This game is beautifully constructed, especially for an early access title, buy it.

I type this review at 3:15am Hawaii time after not being able to put the game down and playing all the way through to an ending in one sitting.

The game was well worth the wait and I am as happy with it as I had hoped I would be, the interactions are well written and while the controls are a little bit funky to get used to there is a WSAD option in the menus.

I highly recommend this game for its deep storyline and visuals, there are also multiple endings so I will be going back in from scratch, and of course I'll have to do a playthrough where I just yell at Kaizen and see how long I survive.

In my opinion very worh the price.
