I guess this is just the standard anime game experience. Boring and repetitive gameplay.

Magnus customization falls short, which is crazy given that's one of its selling points. Mech customization is even more uninteresting. Mobile game mechanics when it comes to base building. Get the parts and then wait for the timer. Each station goes up in time, first time starting at 10 seconds.

Some things I do like include scenes with the Magus while you're idle in the base, and the after mission rewind sort of feature. Your Magus will do various activities from dancing, working or just relaxing. Very cute, though her yapping whilst I'm in the field can get rather annoying. After each mission you'll get a runthrough of the route you took and some of the things you did while there. It's not very accurate and I don't believe you can skip the talking parts, but it's a neat feature nonetheless.

Around midnight I said "Just one more day."
I finally got off at 2 AM.

If you are a SAO fan, I recommend waiting for a sale. The main story took me 15 hours (I completed 1 side quest, as well as several coop missions). It started off really interesting but gradually kind of fell off. The ending felt rushed, as well. The coop, while fun initially, is kind of pointless. It's a gear and cosmetic grind, but also feels a little pointless as of right now. Fighting well looking good is nice but you're fighting the same levels and bosses over and over again. I might be too low of a level but I only see 2 bosses for myself currently.

Enjoyable overall. Had occasional FPS drops during intense fights happening around me but it was overall steady. Running a 4070ti. I'm a bit new to the genre but I'm enjoying my stay. Looking forward to the full release some day!

Some complaints I have are as follows:

1. Movement is really clunky. The amount of times I get stuck and have to climb over nothing is way more often than it should be. EDIT: Also adding how often I'd get shot, and then not move anymore. Idk if I'm stunned, but my character just refused to move after getting shot.
2. Spawns seem really sporadic. Sometimes I'll see people or things just spawn in a little bit in front of me. One time something spawned right behind me.

1.0 Update Review: Very hesitant to recommend. It's still a fun game, but at this point I'm only convinced it's 1.0 update was just to justify a price increase.

-The bugs don't feel like they've gotten any better.
-The playtime feels more artificial as they've made grinding for skills take way longer. Maybe it was needed since you could max out skills easily by paying NPCs, but it's so sluggish now even with EXP Boosting gear.
-The new sects feel amazing, while some of the older/already bad sects got updates which don't even work properly (Five-Dragon Cult and it's worms in particular. Seriously, what is even the point of this sect if it can only do one useless thing very well?).
-Translations have not improved. While there's Mods for better translations, they weren't all that noticeable for me.

There's definitely a diamond here, but needs a lot of polish.

Hardest tutorial I've ever done

Games good but needs a way for me to spam question marks on my teammates.

Aside from the first day launch issues, I'm having a lot of fun playing.
If you're using the old Vive Controllers, like I am, you do need to change your controls so you can actually turn. Can be annoying to deal with afterwards.

Play with SSD. Game kinda struggles on HDD but it's still really fun
