The verbal feedback from the dwarves is mind-bogglingly obnoxious, but if you turn the voice volume all the way down, it's a pretty fun little game. The only other major criticism I have is that it isn't twin stick compatible, which is a pretty strange omission for this genre, 7/10 currently, could be an 8 or 9 with some improvements.

Exactly what I want from a Soulsborn shooter. Absolutely love it, even though it infuriates me.

I want to like this game so badly. It has all the elements I want in a game. A cosmic horror survival builder? Sign me up.

Unfortunately in it's current state, the game is an unmitigated disaster. Buggy, laggy, unfocused. And on top of the expected early access jankiness, there's too many reward claim screens, and too many different currencies. The game has so much potential, but currently it feels like a cynical cash grab with all the obvious monitization and poor service.

If you are just okay at shooters, don't bother with this game. You will only be frustrated, because its MMR system is a joke. You WILL be matched with sweatlords who will kill you and take all that gear you worked so hard to acquire. Obviously in a game like this you can expect to lose your gear from time to time, but this game is ESPECIALLY unfriendly to n00bs and mid level players.

This game is incredibly fun. Yes it has flaws. Yes it needs some polish. Many of the criticisms I've seen are valid, but I would still highly recommend it.

I love this game. Shooters aren't generally my favorite, but this one has me hooked.


Edit: it breaks me heart to do this, but I can no longer recommend this game. Crytek took something beautiful and unique, and turned it into a cringey ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. RIP Hunt: Showdown.

I am absolutely obsessed with this game. Can't recommend it highly enough.
