TL;DR:
- Campaign is short, play on higher difficulty to increase play time and rewards.
- Co-Op Horde mode is fun but can get stale due to lack of maps.
- No PvP multiplayer feels like a missed opportunity.
- Additional player in squad would have felt better.
- Fun game overall for what it is, would recommend to Alien fans!
- Make sure to play with friends!

Full review and thoughts -

The campaign doesn't take very long to beat if you play on lower difficulty settings if you are decent at shooter games, so I'd recommend playing on intense or higher. It will take longer while being more challenging, and will feel more rewarding as a result.

The Co-Op Horde Mode is pretty fun, especially if you have a decent team. It can be a fun challenge to see how far you can make it. I just wish it was more dynamic with the game play options and structure like other wave based survival modes in other games. It's rigidity can leave you feeling a bit disappointed when it comes to rewards, knowing how other wave based game modes are structured. A few extra maps wouldn't hurt either! Plenty of areas from campaign they could use in that as well. I still enjoy it for what it is though!

The game unfortunately lacks a PvP multiplayer, so that is a bit of a disappointment I will say. It would have been cool if the devs had played Dead Space 2 and were familiar with that game. They could have made a multiplayer mode inspired by what that game offered where there's a team of humans vs a team of aliens, and they fight over different objectives. Definitely feels like a missed opportunity there! DS2 multiplayer kicked ass! Maybe they will add something like that with the next Alien game. I think it would definitely increase the replay value of the game.

The three player squad choice feels a bit limiting and underwhelming at times as well. Just feels like an odd choice game design wise. It definitely could have benefited from having an extra player thrown into the mix. It would open the door to better team based game play and variety.

All in all it's a pretty solid game for what it is, being an enjoyable experience overall! Would recommend to fans of the alien franchise as a casual game to play with a couple of friends.

I'd rate it a solid: 7.5/10

Great game! 10/10 would recommend to everyone.

The killer side is fun, great hunting vibes and can be challenging when running against a coordinated team with effective communication. A great way to vent pent up frustration from a rough day.

The survivor side is also fun. I quite enjoy the stealth aspect of it where being sneaky and stealthy often is the determining factor for whether or not you survive a match.

There is quite a learning curve for survivor side, and killer side too, but the steeper learning curve is definitely survivor side. But once you actually have an idea for what you're doing, it makes for some pretty intense and enjoyable game play on both sides.

This remake of the classic Dead Space game, lives up to expectations! Good game play, nice graphics, and a trip down memory lane. What more do you want!

Also, make sure to play Dead Space 2 if you bought the deluxe edition of the game! The multiplayer in DS2 is really fun :D Would be amazing to see that games multiplayer alive again!

Custom zombie maps in 4K! Is there really anything else that needs to be said? Oh wait yes!! Even with the new Modern Warfare game being out, this game honestly still looks better compared to MW2019 on ultra settings. Even though this game does not have Ray Tracing because of it being a few years old, the overall visual quality is still a lot clearer and crisp with more vivid colors. I cannot wait to see what BO5 will look like because of how good this game looks!
