This is, hands down, one of the best games I´ve ever played. Because that I grew up with Baulders gate 1 and 2 this is a game well suited for me. A lively atmosphere and rich enviroments with great music to boost it.

They said that they aimed to bring back the feel of the old infinty engine games (Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale e.t.c) and they did just that. Not just the isometrical camera and live turnbased combat (pausable, of course). They looked to the smaller things, such as the good old "You must gather your party before venturing forth" as well.

Apart from that the game is also littered with alot of community written content wich shows that they really cherish the community they have gathered.

There is no real downside to this game, it offers great replay value, great challenges and hours upon hours of gameplay.

Should I really search for a downside I could find two things
1: The UI has a button wich reveals that you will acquire a stronghold at one point, it could have been covered up as not to spoil a great surprise.
2: I easily reached the levelcap way before reaching the end of the game, mind you it took alot of sidequesting and it kept me from being way overpowered for the endgame. A slight to much sidecontent in relation to maincontent.

That being said, I strongly recommend it. It brought back so many good memories of what I love about roleplaying games.
