Super good game. Tons of fun, tons of replayability.

Best with friends, but still pretty solid solo.

Highly recommended. Very, very good.

Pros:
- Rich and engaging environments, begging to be explored
- Sub-aquatic exploration and base-building make for a new and interesting take on a stale genre
- Flora and fauna are interesting and unique, so different biomes are certainly memorable
- Crafting is simple, so it doesn't detract from the exploration/survival aspects of the game
- Fantastic and atmospheric soundtrack
- Active developers are fairly responsive in terms of resolving bugs and whatnot

Cons:
- A work-in-progress, so expect a couple bugs here and there
- Once in game, there is no option to return to the main menu, which is weird
- No multiplayer, yet
- Game requires manual saving, no auto-save feature yet. Given a handful of known crash-inducing bugs, this can be a problem

Overall: 9/10

In its current form, I can't actually recommend this game to anyone. The shooting elements are definitely there, the problem is the game's utter lack of balance. The weapon progression wasn't well thought-through, in that each tier of weapon is (generally) significantly better than the last. This puts newer players at a noticeable disadvantage. More effective ammunition can also be purchased in addition to grenades, giving more experienced players (or those among us who are willing to shell out cash in a free-to-play game) another level of advantages. Equipment wasn't balanced properly, either. Heat suppression and the bubble are somewhat too powerful, feeling like an overcompensation for the lacking assault and support classes, respectively. The maps are also not balanced properly. One side is always at an advantage, making certain points impossible to defend for prolonged periods of time.

TL;DR Fun game, but effectively pay-to-win with no thought given to balance
