The Final Cut of the IAofVan Helsing series brought the multiple games together into a single seamless narrative; which is a huge kudos to the developers and the people who worked on this game.

Overall I found the story to be engaging and fun to play through. The mix of quests and hidden content made the world worth exploring - and the fact that a lot of the hidden content were related to teases about other popular games or references to popular culture made each one a joy to discover. Additionally, I found the music quite enjoyable for Van Helsing. On most games I turn the music off and I did not feel the need to with this game. The voice acting was also very well done - with each character having their own unique voice and none of the actors sounding bored or tired in the delivery of their character's dialogue.

Gameplay is conventional towards any other Action RPG in the genre of Diablo. Point and click, fire abilities, kill packs of things, watch the loot rain. Speaking of the loot. I believe that was probably one of the drawbacks to the game. While the loot is plentiful I found that it was difficult finding gear to upgrade into unless I was hitting level gaps between pieces of 20+ or more. There is a limited crafting system here but it only works for normal and the highest tier magic items, leaving two tiers to be nothing more than sales fodder junk. The gem style upgrade system with Essences was a unique way to handle gear customization and helped with the lack of consistent gearing upgrades.

If you like ARPGs and Diablo style games. I recommend picking up the Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing and giving it a playthrough. Well worth the time investment to play this game to completion.
