However I try to play this game I cannot make myself like it. Not a single game had I had decent spawn of planets enabling proper progress. If you want to play a game that actively hates you and creates maps out of spite - go for it. I play games to relax not to prove a point. I should have applied for refund when I had the option.

TLDR: stay away until fixed and discounted.

Convoluted and confused mess of UI and process automation. Thousands of irrelevant popups. Fleet AI just abysmal - suiciding into hostiles (over 10x the fleet strenght) - no settings in game (and believe me I tried them all) would resolve this. Definately not worth the full price. I will wait a year or two keeping an eye on it. After some uptades and a rework (mods?) it might be worth buying for ~ 50% of the original price.

Really good game if you like not entirely serious RTS. Can be challenging, can be easy. RNG + difficulty setup will definately affect how you need to play it. Quite enjoyable in multi. Well worth checking out.

Absolutely worth the money! One of the best designed games I've played. Not for everyone though. If you expect the mechanics being presented to you on a level of a MacDonalds employee instruction you are going to be sorely dissapointed. The game is a test. You don't have to pass it. Played entire story to the end. Loved it. Started over. I blame you developers for creating a product keeping me up until 2 am having to go to work on the morning!

After all said and done I still believe that this game is way worse than Civ IV. It just fails to inspire me to play more. Most of the games I get bored after an hour or so not really feeling compelled to complete the run with a victory. It feels uninspiring and bland.

Boring and unimaginative. I would have to be paid to play this game.

Simple, boring, uninspiring. Company of Heroes in medieval times but dumbed down.
Waste of money compared to a lot of similar titles.

Same old ES2. Hissho race feels weak and fails to deliver anything new. I wished I haven't bought this "expansion".
