Visceral and hectic, yet learnable and manageable.

You WILL be invested in every mission and every mission will have your heart pumping. You WILL die. More citizens will take your place. Your sacrifice will be remembered (for about 10 seconds until the next drop pod rolls in).

Squad up with the gang and bring Managed Democracy (TM) to the non-believers!

Please save your money.

I hate giving this game a bad review. This game has a lot of potential, but the game play is just too clunky. I get it: Space Marines are supposed to be these large powerhouses (which implies slow/cumbersome?), but this could just have been done so much better.

I bought in at Alpha and was hopeful, but over the past year or more the progress just hasn't been substantial. Sure they added more classes and races and ... stuff, but the core of the game still doesn't feel right.

I wanted it to suceed, but alas... such is life. I only hope that my experience serves as a warning for others.

I have no doubt that the game play for this would be awesome, but this is just such a terrible port to PC that for me it is unplayable.

I bought this game during a Steam sale ($10? vs $30/40), but have had my eye on it for a long time after watching a short and really enjoying the dialogue between the two protagonists.

Beautiful scenery, distinctive art style (which suits the game) and a great story. All the controls in the game simply serve to help you propel the story forward. Run to this place, run to that place, look around here, pick up that.

And all of that 'action' is largely meaningless: 95% of the game (the fun, the drama, the humour, the horror) is through your radio and the voice acting that you experience (and contribute to with your dialogue decisions). That might sound like a negative statement, but it's not. I *LOVE* that you live this game through your radio - this is not a twitchy FPS relying on cheap jump-scares or over-the-top action. The rest of the world is simply there to support the radio conversations: the true story; the thing that shapes your version of this game that you will experience.

It won't be for everyone, but for the seasoned all-round gamer looking for a cerebral immersive experience: do yourself a favour and pick this up (particularly on special).

8/10 for art style, Indy nature, great story and for taking a new/different approach to gaming.

Such a simple premise but with many tweaks and surprises keep to you on your toes. Reminds me of the golden days of C64 gaming: graphics that are neither here nor there, but bucket loads of gameplay. Replay value is high in order to try and "choose your own adventure" to each of the different endings. Mature gamers will enjoy. In Mother Arstotzka, game plays you! Glory to Arstotzka! 9/10.

This game is friggin' hilarious.

The voice acting (Nolan North) is spot-on (took some time to adjust to Ryan Reynolds voicing DP in the movie).

The gameplay is generally good, but the storyline/sense of humour really carries this home. I've replayed it 3 or 4 times now just to re-live the awesomeness (39hrs on record my arse).

If you like Deadpool: do yourself a favour and get this. If you're a tight-arse: wait for a sale and get this.

Wow.... why did I wait so long to buy this?

This is not CoD. You will die from unseen enemy if you rush in. Or you will triumph if you work as a team, cover your arcs and apply the Principles of Marksmanship.
