An amazing game from an amazing Studio, though the balancing on weapons could be a bit better

An enjoyable experience of hearing your friends scream in terror.

A remake true to the original and expanded upon it's story with very well done elements (such as side missions and extra dialogue) and fleshing out characters to make them more interesting.

If you enjoyed the original you'll love the remake.

No reason this should still be paid content.

Definitely does the older versions justice, if you've played AoE 2 and AoE 2 HD you will most likely enjoy AoE 2 DE as well.

Graphics are a huge upgrade and has stable multiplayer servers along with all of the campaigns from the original game (no dlc required). The new tutorial is also pretty nice for newer players to get a grasp on the game.

Some downsides to the game though, they changed the voice acting on some of the campaigns, some benefited from this, however for some it was also a downgrade.

As of 26/06/20 the Melee Unit pathing is also pretty bad, hopefully that will be changed in the future.

Best current VR game hands down.
