In its current state since the major update, yes the UI is bad. But the game is better than ever. Once you get past the menu welcome to Mammon’s gulch, one of the most fun playing, beautiful maps I’ve seen in any PVP game. hunt showdown 1896 in almost every way is an upgrade over the original Hunt showdown. The games feel so much better with less stalemates compared to the original game. Crytek knocked it out of the park with this one. Bullet drop adds additional complexity to the gunplay which is also still top notch. I cannot believe this was a free update, it is so good and adds so much value to that $30 I spent years ago. Yes the UI is not good and takes me a couple more minutes (with much frustration) to get in a game with the correct load out. But the gameplay is so good that it’s worth suffering through. Honestly the UI team needs to apologize to every other team working on the game. Because they honestly mar an otherwise stellar update from crytek.

having fun with it. Combat feels decent, pretty good progression mechanic. will probably sink 50-100 hrs into it.
