Bittersweet and poetic story. it is fairly short, but it stays with you long after you finish the game.

Underrated masterpiece!

The worldbuilding is exceptional. Dorisburg feels alive in a way that no other game city has. You can go into any building you want. You can follow people as they go about their routine - going to work, cafe's, bars, and casinos.

The hacking part of the game is utery amazing.

In short - you want this in your library.

Great game!

Lovely little elite-lite. Quick warning - do not go up to Destroyer class ship too quickly - it calculates toughness of enemies in mission based on your highest piece of equipment or ship. So actually getting a powerfull ship too quickly can actually make the enemies harder to kill and you doing less actual damage! Very odd idea but in all other ways the game is great.

What a lovely suprise this game was. It isn't that long - first playthrough has taken 15 hours but I will definately replay - but it is a pure pleasure to play.

Reminiscent of the Balders gate series. Good game, well worth full price, but just falls shorts of being a classic.

In a way it is a shame, as, whilst the Balders Gate series were extremely good, they weren't the pinicle of Interplay's achievements. It would have been nice to see Obsidian aim higher. Fallout, Planescape Torment, Mask of the Betrayer, and Bloodlines were huge steps forward from Balders Gate, and to be honest going back to Balders Gate is a step back, even though it is better than many games produced since then.

The plot is OK, the lore is OK, the dialogue is OK, the combat is actualy slightly revolutionary - with in theory compromises having to be made. No one character can be everything. However, really it just means you have tanks and ranger dps. Not that exciting in practice. Combat can be challenging sometimes, but there are one or two attacks that are overpowered (such as confusion and dominate) and if those aren't used it is a breeze usually. Traps are annoying and very silly. They are disproporiate in terms of damage and they often instakill parties who are not sneaking all the time in dungeons.

It is an above average CRPG.

Great game at a great price. Special mention to some of the amazing fan made content such as Shadowrun Unlimited.

Simply stunning. A well-executed reboot of one of my favourite games. I avoided it for a while as I loved the original too much to allow it to be sullied, but it was just as good as I remember the original being.

I just can't understand what people love about this game. I find myself reading reviews in the desperate hope I can find something enjoyable enough to finish it.

I note that many reviews focus on the inovative elemental spell combinations. I admit that for a short while they are interesting but I don't think they add a significant new dimension to CRPG combat. First, stuns are so much more effective than anything else in the game. Secondly, if you are semi-competant you can win any fight without any particular regard to tactics against anyone your level or below. Your level vs opponents level is the single most important factor in any fight. You will face an inability to even hit something more than a couple levels above you no matter how good you tactics are.

Many people laud the multiplayer aspect of this game. However after the first few fights to gain levels you need to then walk around following an extremely boring storyline murder mystery ♥♥♥ walk around click on people for no apparent reason section. You can't skip this dull section as you won't be strong enough to fight any enemies in any direction without doing so.

The game is very much on wheels due to the levels of enemies in certain areas so little in the game is optional at the start and at the begining of the new map.

The storyline is terrible, the dialogue is poor, although some dialogue is witty and some quests are enjoyable.

The crafting system: instead of having many common ingredient types and being able to make many combinations from there, often you can only make items using specific loot. The crafting system would have been far more enjoyable with less object types to hunt down and collect. Inventory management, even with bags, becomes a total chore.

I really really wanted to love this game and I am so glad others have enjoyed it but I found myself often getting bored playing it, and the combat extremely repetitive and dull.
