For the first 20hrs it was a 7/10 for me, then slowly tapered to a 5/10.
It's not a bad game, but it's not a great one. I just wouldn't recommend it

At the start, this game had a real "woah..." factor about it, with the ship building and sci-fi setting. This all died down as I progressed, and the exploration is just navigating the star menu. Space flight is completely optional (unless story related), as you have to fast travel anyway.

Game play: Gun-play and gear upgrading was fun. It was the only thing pushing me to explore new planets for resources and enemies to shoot.

Story: Predictable and safe. The world revolves around you, and your actions have little consequences.

Graphics: It's okay

Presentation: Has that BGS charm, but feels dated in the modern gaming landscape

Immersion: Load screen and menu galore.

Exploration: Be prepared to walk 5 minutes from one point of interest to another when ur on planets. Ignore any nature related landmarks, the ones I got was just an non-interactive ditchs or rock formations. I love exploring, but Starfield missed the mark for me.

OCE servers are struggling.
Fix the servers and I'll recommend the hell out of this game

Fast, team based, strategic FPS done right.

Also, for any Angry Joe show viewers, Joe didn't give the game a fair enough go. He was expecting a little too much from a FREE game. Yes, there is an option to use real money, but you really shouln't. Use the time to grind to gain experience in the game and gain game credit to buy new mercs which is a lot more rewarding than just buying them.

Btw, LoL uses the exact same marketing stratagy. You can either be patiant and grind for credit or pay real money to unlock mercs.
