The first game in the series and one of the best as well.
I have noticed that some people are getting issues with the game regarding pauses, graphical issues, etc... but I have yet to get any of those.
Pros:
The story is amazingly funny.
You don't have to use the main characters at all.
You can make your own team and have them be whatever they want even if it's a mage with guns.
Music is really nice and fitting. Some catchy tunes that you'll never forget.
New user interface makes the pictures of the characters and the text much more readable.
Map texture is also updated and looks fantastic!
Can mix interface if you prefer older style, nothing is forced onto you.
Can still switch between Japanese and English voice acting.
Game is not FPS locked.
I can throw people into other people.

Cons:
May sometimes pause during new interface dialouge for about 1 second.
Low end computers might not get great performance.
Can't jump.

Neutral:
Some graphical glitches with new interface, but nothing game breaking.
Horse weiner.

As a fan I give the game busting balls/10...
as a non-proffesional reviewer of games I give it 8.8/10. :D

Early Access Review
I love this game. It's a game that is not pay to win but is instead teamwork to win.
There's a lot to love about this game from graphics to control, to balance and even a newbie hunting ground (up to level 15).
I'd have to say since it's still an early access game that yes, there are some game breaking bugs in it.
1.) Every now and then you will have a random lag spike where your screen freezes but others can still see you walking forwards.
2.) The lag spike rarely (1/5 times) will disconnect you. If you hear music and sound, then you just have a lag spike. If the music and noise stop however, then you disconnected.
3.) Number 2 wouldn't be a problem if you could get back into your game and not get punished for it... however when in matchmaking you will sometimes join a game that's half way done. So if you try to reconnect after a disconnection... by the time you open the game back up someone else will already have taken your spot and you will be unable to join.
This gets annoying when you're playing in a party of 4 and one of your team members disconnects and some other person who you can't communicate with replaces him and now he's unable to join back in.

tl;dr:
Pros:
Not Pay to Win.
Amazing graphics / music.
Smooth Controls.

Mid: Game is still Early Access.

Cons:
Lag Spikes EVERY game (but only once usually).
Lag Spikes disconnect you 1/5 times.
If you disconnect you cannot rejoin because someone else took your spot.
Pretty bad matchmaking after level 15.

8.5/10 because of the disconnection and unable to rejoin.
