The charm and puns are high with this one. I really enjoyed the game and how deep some of the main cast of this game was. If anything holds this game back would be it's lackluster chapter 7 for me but other than that I was blown away. The post game and secret bosses kept me hook for an extra 10 hours and the dynamics and lore of the story were dummy complex for a seemingly silly bug rpg.

Nier Replicant is a remake of Nier which is a game from 2010 but it is amazing how well the story still holds today. I want to start out with my main negative of the game and that is the reusing of large portions of the game for endings B-D. While Nier Replicant's Sequel Automata handles this a lot better. The main endings for Automata A-E all have vastly different gameplay which makes that game feel a lot better. Replaying large portions of this game just for a different ending can feel rough but it does give you a chance to perfect your strategy with some of the bosses. But by endings C and D I was so tired with the whole thing and would take some breaks inbetween endings. Some slight story changes happen in C/D but for the most part it is really the same. Moving on to why I recommend this game is I really do believe this game is worth playing for the story alone. This game has both intersex and homosexual representation which is something that not many games today have and doesn't feel like something tacked on imo. The combat has really been touched up from the original game form what I've seen. The comparison videos in graphics speaks for itself really on the visuals. The story of this game is really the selling point here and something that has to be experienced on it's own. To finish this review I have to talk about ending E which is something new added to this remaster that really ties the story together and really wraps this story up so this is really the definitive version of the Nier game.

It's a harmless horror game. Has some fun exploration elements but the real treat here is the visual style and all the options for different types of video effects and textures anywhere from ps1 to like rental vhs video effects. It really just feels like a great homage to the 80's. The addition of the first person view was great too and helped me finish the game.

This is a really impressive free add-on for portal 2. Very solid storyline with puzzles that left me clueless for some time. I think the puzzles here were a lot more hard to solve than the portal 2 base puzzles. Overall great game and would highly recommend to people who enjoy portal type puzzles :)
