Early Access Review
Best idler i have played, but at times it requires quite a lot of online time to maintain and retry different setups, which is just fine. There are points where it can be really frustrating because you hit a wall several times during the progress, but eventually you get the hang of it, and when you get to the point where you can reinforce and "restart" with benefits, then you know how to play through the game and the first time you reinforce is actually a nice feeling cause you know most things and the progress is a lot smoother. Just be careul if you are poor. It's tempting to buy AI points to progress during your first playthrough and it can be a bit expensive. At first i bought AI points to support the one who created the game, but i ended up spending about 200 euro and most i spend on 6 hpur boosters lol, but you can play it without spending money if you just take the time. Great game. So far i'm enjoying reinforce 1 so there is still quite some time left :D

Love the game and played 42 hours in 3 days.

Worst things first, so that's out of the way.

It has some flaws when it comes to NPC behavior, certain NPCs have bad graphics, lack of PC settings and no DLSS.
I had very few issues while i played so far.
1 crash
a few mission areas where i frequently freeze until i kill the NPCS.
most of the times i have to start the game and it start in small window, so i close the window and restart it.
Other than that it has been pretty straight forward playing.

Great story line.
Fun NPC conversations at times.
Fun outpost building.
OK fun ship building, but takes some practice.
Lots and lots of side quests.

The procedurally generated planets are not much more interesting than those in No mas sky, but the outposts and indoor mission areas/caves etc are very well made, so that makes up for it.

Well worth the money imo, even with the flaws it has.

Been here since day 1 and i actually liked the game from the start despite its launch issues.
Now 1000+ hours later i have seen a game that has been updated/improved during the years and the options ingame now are much more varied and there is a lot to do.
There are 100's of hours of gameplay if you want to see and experience everything the game has to offer.
I just finished expedition 7, which i think was great. It's actually my first expedition even if i played so many hours. I didn't know they were so fun :) , so i hope old expeditions are possible to do complete at certain times.

It's amazing how much that has been updated/improved/implemented for free since release.

Highly recommend this game and it's a game i keep coming back to.
The VR version are really well made too and should be tried out if the player has the game and VR.

I'm having a blast so far.
Sure there are bugs and performance issues, but nothing that ruins my fun so far, and i can only imagine how this game will improve with patches and free content upgrades.

I do however wish for a single time respec in a future patch, to clean up some of the messed up perks we have atm.
Scrapper perk is something i wish i never specced in, and Losing out of tons of money due to it disassembling all junk, even the valuable ones,

However.
Great story, large open world scenario, lots of various gear/armor/cloth/cars, a good amount of skills in the different skilltrees combines with cybermods gives a good variety of ways to mix you toon, and i can imagine i will try and do a few reruns with different toons and specialize different each time,

Tons and tons of side quests and lots of storytelling in the different things you find across the world.

So far i would give it 80/100, and hopefully future improvements will make it even better.

Bought it in 2016 and played a bit, and saw it had potential, but needed some more work. Joined again after latest large patch a few weeks back and it has come a long way. Sure it's not finished and has bugs, but overall it's well worth the 20 euro. I'm 100 hours in and can imagine i will spend atleast 100 more.
Off course it's not as polished as no mans sky for example, but that had a bumpy start too...

Empyrion has some interesting building mechanics with a lot of ways to customize your looks of bases, Hoverbikes, small and large space ships. If you love building there is a lot of good hours constructing things.

Pesonally i maded a small base in the beginning, but i suck at building nice things, so quickly vent into F2 mode and saw what was available in the factory and found some stuff i liked and started gathering the materials and now not to long after i got my first Capital vessel and can start to warp around to get the more precious materials.
Since i don't have mining laser on my vessels yet i mine manually, by flying close to the asteroids, jump out and let my drone mine with epic drill, and go back when i get to cold. Sometimes i bring lots of hot drinks to counter the cold, since i don't have the armor buffs found in this session yet.

Before that it was mostly the basics of a survival game. Gather stuff, create things, rinse repeat, explore and demolish crashed ships for their materials.
Doing the quest line is also somewhat fun. Not the most intriquing quests, but nice with the option to do different quest lines if you prefer that.

On the first moon i found some radar facilities with a lot of enemies, and got me an epic laser rifle and epic drill and after that mining became a lot easier.

If they continue to add more interesting stuff i can't see why i would spend a lot more time in here.
Not done yet, so now i will go in and search for new systems to explore :D

It's been a few years since i bought the early access game, but over the last years i had tons of fun in ARK.
So many various creatures to tame and the building system is one of the best out there, plus he modding community is one of the best i have experienced.

Right now enoying their latest expansion with some guildfriends.
Each expansion more or less give me about 100 hours full of gameplay before i start to get a bit bored and leave ARK alone until next time.

But it's always worth a revisit.
