Alright, this is going to be a bit to get into but I'll put the TLDR here first:

If you have ever liked any 4X game (Explore, Expand, Exploit, Exterminate) but specifically: Stellaris, Total War: warhammer 3 or Endless Legend
If you have ever liked the old Heroes of Might and Magic Games
If you like Magic the Gathering TCG deckbuilding
If you like any tactical game
If you are new to strategy games but love the high fantasy tropes:

This game is a must buy and play.

I am blown away, I haven't played a videogame in sooooooooo long and felt like I was 10 years old playing my first strategy game for the first time.

This game does everything innovative and does it all right

You expand your cities in a very intuitive way where city placement and growth as choices feel good and important but not huge headaches.

The combat system feels like a mixture between Endless Legends and Heroes of Might and Magic and chef's kiss they did it beautifully.

You create your own High Fantasy empire and it is executed brilliantly, I'm mulling over a long time what I want to play, so many things to try and I can't get enough of it --- it all leads into what you 'Research' in this game.

You research Magical Tomes, NOT Science, the different Magics have their own attribute called affinity. This tells you how much of that magic is influencing your faction and because you can mix and match: It feels like you have lots of funny, cool, or terrifying possibilities to sink your teeth into. It does remind me of thematic magic the gathering deck building and it fits this game soooooo well.

Now is this game perfect? No - but damn it is close, honestly I probably won't ever care to download mods as long as the devs put out new content and fix the bugs - which I will maintain. Is very important.

It had a semi-rocky launch on bugs and it seems to be only multiplayer ones left, I'm waiting to see how fast they can get fixed and how much the devs are interested in this game long term (past their season pass).

I'm interested in this being a permanent upkeep game, in my eyes the game is perfect design wise, give me a longer pantheon tree, more civilization options and more unique map settings.

I haven't played games much in the past year, I have played this every day since iv'e found it. I don't plan on stopping anytime soon - I'll update this when Dawn of Dragons releases.

I'm genuinly enjoying this game. This is a tug of war card game similar to clash royale but more tug of warry and less reaction spawning that is clash royale. It has some card game elements to it and to my current knowledge the game is completely free to play and nothing is behind paywall it looks like.

After playing 45 minutes it became evidently clear i was going to refund it.

I love this idea and i hope the bugs get fixed, until then im going to stay away from this and as far as anyone else, I suggest to hold off until certain bug elements get fixed.

I tried making multiple games where i renamed the entire roster of champions to the actualy league of legends champions and it bugged out and didnt do anything every time. I then tried to make games where i didn't refund it and just run the game as is. Same thing.

So what can i say about "For the King".

To the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics, by the childish cartoons on my screen to the "diverse" of a pathetic waste of character customization .

I came here hoping that a new developr would be willing to take another shot at turn based, rogue-like, dnd based rpgs; now while it obviously displayed a very different side of rpg's, it portrayed in the worst way possible. I reccomend that you convert this to a browser game and sell it to miniclip.com or preferably, Facebook.

Don't buy this game, even if its free. Waste of time, go back to runescape kiddos.

This game resembles BDSM intercourse very easily.

The Aliens will beat you so hard.

They will kills your favorite soldiers.

Capture your favorite girl.

Enslave all of humanity.

Destroy your home.

And you will enjoy all of it. Every. Second. Of. It.

Obviously if BDSM isn't your thing, then this game ins't for you.

Gear up is a mixture of amazing technological design, warfare that has great potential, and important strategic and aiming skills that can be picked up easily and a high skill cap.

The gameplay is fun, free to play (mostly all of it is free to play), and the design is addictive.

For a new free game made a month ago, 8/10 rating hands down (Actual rating is like a 6.5/10). The game isn't a year old and from the looks of it, the game is going to change quickly.

The potential of this game is REDICULOUS. What the developers can do with this game has SO many options to improve the game that it can reach a point of 9/10 or even 10/10.

What this game can become:

-Established languages in the teens.
-Improved FPS performance.
-Increased number of players in a game.
-A great wide addition of new weapons, hulls, turrets, etc.
-Balanced gameplay.
-New gamemodes of varying types.
-Steam workshop.
-New maps.
-Ranked games to improve the ranking system?
-Bug fixes and crash fixes.
-And so much more room for new ideas to take place for everything above!

With that said, I find this a gun arcade game to enjoy today if I want to play for an hour or two. And what this game will be in the future I will be psyched to find out.

Overall rate: 7/10 (****)
