Also, there are ways of identifying gates in low sec that are camped during that time of the day. The map tells you how many people got blown the ♥♥♥♥ up at a particular gate. If 50 people died there in the last 30 minutes, maybe you should avoid that gate and plan a safer route instead of setting a destination and letting the ♥♥♥♥♥ take the wheel ( or the autopilot in this case). Use your brain and you won't lose your ship.
