I got to try out every style of combat the game has to offer in tutorial, and by the gods did they improve archery in this game. Crossbows and throwing weapons also feel "right”, and you can really feel the impact of your projectiles hitting someone, which is deeply satisfying.

Melee weapons on the other hand are quite disappointing. I was never a fan of spears in Mount and Blade games, especially when wielded in one hand, since they feel slow and weak, and are useless in close quarters. Other one handed and two handed weapons are fine on foot, but using them on horseback is an absolute nightmare. It is impossible to hit anything with them, not even longer swords with better reach could get the job done.

I really don’t like what they did with shields in this game. Bannerlord makes blocking with shields a needlessly complex chore, as you have to take into consideration the direction the attack is coming from, so that being attacked by multiple assailants from multiple angles is almost a guaranteed death sentence.

The game is hard. Even on the easiest settings, a decently armored character can get knocked out with a few blows by a bunch of stick-wielding hobos in rags. I can see this being a huge turn-off for new players.

That said, riding has never been more fun. Horses feel like actual horses now, instead of horse-shaped vehicles. The scenery is pleasant to look at, and the soundtrack is amazing.

Some new features also feel much more user friendly, for example it is no longer necessary to run around in a village just to look for the village headman - you can just click on their portrait while entering a village. Selling prisoners into slavery, trading with merchants, and recruiting troops also feel a lot less clunky than before.

The addition of a clan and permadeath system is interesting. I haven’t tried them out yet, since I don’t want Deirdre to die just because some hobo pelted her with a rock.

The game obviously needs a lot of polishing, but I’m having a great time so far :)

Why I don't like CS GO anymore. Well, once you get past gold there are more and more hackers the further up you rank. Valve barely even tries to fix the problem because every person they VAC ban can just give them more money to hack worry free for a few more months.

I got to DMG and, to get there with solo queue life got me more than 1.4k+ hours.
So I stop playing it, but now I keep playing it with friends for the ¨lols¨ and I have a great time doing it, just stupid strats and lots of laughs.
But still a good game❤
