This game isn't very "rogue", the maps follow a somewhat similar structure, with the enemy variety and placement being the biggest changes (but also not always), however, the combat is so satisfying and the multiple classes and unlockables at your disposal are so fun and diverse it more than makes up for it.

It's also important to note the slightly standard patterns of the maps are for good reason: The game has a huge focus on exploration and secrets. While it doesn't seem like it at first, there is actually a lot past the surface, and I personally found the experience of exploration to be very pleasing.

There is a story, mostly found on secrets, but it's not the focus and isn't very memorable.

Boss fights are something I value a lot and I believe most of them are very fun to fight. Sometimes I feel I got overtuned on later stages and thus made the bosses a bit too easy, but they are still very well designed and, should you be unlucky or play on a higher difficulty, you'll quickly notice how they are a true test of skill in using your arsenal on most cases.

Because the "rogue" elements of the game are mostly tied to meta progression, it can get stale for some, but I personally enjoyed it so much that I went out of my way to do as many optional challenges, collecting and achievements as possible. The soundtrack is superb and playing the multiplayer feels nice and with a proper dose of challenge, it's not one of those games where multiplayer makes the gameplay trivial.

Extremely solid game, tons of fun, certainly recommended. We need more gems like this in this niched genre

Well, you can tell by my hours of gameplay that I really enjoyed this game and got the most out of it, even the bad out of it.
The harshness of the reviews left me really unsure, in the first few minutes, no matter how much I was enjoying, the game design made me fear for what people have said, so let me clarify a few things.

TL:DR
Great game, very challenging, beautiful animation, exploration is rewarded, so is proper strategy (Change your routes and upgrade luck early, please). The randomness is not unfair, it is not unfair, your skills matter. Bosses are great, minibosses often suck. The major flaw is making the "good" path so poor, but the rest is brillant. If you want to have 1 run and the best experience, I'd say "Put the hardest difficulty and fully embrace"

-I'll start with the worse:
You got decisions that greatly impact gameplay and change the ending completely, but other than that, you don't feel the story actually shaking. The dialogue changes are nearly non-existant, even fully embracing a malevolent power don't make you look slightly different, which is quite disappointing. The game also clearly incentivises the player to choose to embrace, even the ending is epic, resisting is the "good" and also harder path, but feels unrewarded (which it should not) and magnifies 1 danger this game has: grinding. Before I get into that, I'll head on to...

-The best:
The game has beautifully hand-drawn animations, rather interesting history and concept, great ambientation. I sadly haven't found the soundtrack slightly remarkable, but the sound effects are SO GOOD and the atmosphere so well done that you don't even care, you go all in into this feeling of despair.
People said quite a few things like: dismotivates exploration, has bad design, is unfair, grindy af and you know what? They are all untrue.
The game constantly states that "Luck is an underrated ability", that is because luck increases the rate and quality of random drops, but people don't really care about it. What they fail to realize is that is makes finding perks a piece of cake and leveling up MUCH FASTER and, since the cost to upgrade gradually increases, making the brutal mistake not to level up luck early will make grinding worse and harder, thus getting repetitive.
The combat is simple and trully mashing, but it is not unfun, you more often than not feel 1 of 2 things: You had absolutely no chance and fail or you feel the rush and adrenaline, but can acctually strategize behind the mashing and feel rewarded. Grinding until they can't hurt you is a way to go, but boring and unfun, the ones who did this wrote those untrue reviews from a bad point of view because they failed to catch yet another clue the game gives "Your progression should be non-linear". Remember when you said sometimes you feel you had no chance and simply fail? That's because you really had no chance. Remember when I said "exploration is not rewarded is an incorrect statement"? That's also because of that. The world is open and the game gives few clues as where to go, if someplace is REALLY HARD, then guess what? You should come back later. Also, chests are not occasional, they are abundant and often well hidden, you can listen to the noise they make and figure some hideout patterns, making careful exploration crucial, since chests drop more stuff than lots of endless waves, making EXPLORATION ALREADY MORE WORTH THAN TEDIOUS GRINDING BY DEFINITION. When you take your time to explore and go in the right ways, you simply feel the grinding as a natural process, the game keeps being fun and you feel your strengh increasing properly along with your progress, even bosses have a way to reward you so that you keep trying instead of grinding your way to victory Breaking their weak spots gives you plenty of money to lvl up, even if you fail, and they got more than 1 weak spot to break .
I should also state that I played both on Hard and Insane and did not found the game boring or unfair, you just gotta learn the rules. Most times yours skills will speak up more than your level (On Insane I got to and nearly beat the first boss with no upgrades at all, I have beaten bosses that had 1 hit kill attacks etc), BUT, as I said, grinding is a threat. Remember how I spoke poorly about the "good" path? That's because it is a path that handicaps you and gives you some cheap upgrades for a price, it is the path of the grinder and thus the less rewarding. When I reached the final area of the game on Insane while resisting, I felt an unfair need to grind, not because the bosses were hard, on the contrary, they were the easiest part, the waves of random enemies were not. The final boss demand the most of you, thou, and in the grinder path, it demands the greater grind, which is not cool. Even so, at this point your experience tells you the proper, quicker way to grind and it works wonders, it takes a few bunch of minutes, but is not that big of a deal, still not a nice thing to have nonetheless, but I must say this was the ONLY moment I felt grinding was a problem: on the harder path of the hardest mode, totally optional aka you don't have to do it, ever, not even for achievements.
"Oh, what about endless horde areas? They are unfair and don't reward exploration etc etc"
Listen up, those areas were meant to be hard af and have but one goal: test your skills on a race towards one great and unique reward, exploring for loot gives you MUCH money, but it is a bonus, you'll never do that unless you're really confident or strong enough, and that's NOT because THE GAME DISMOTIVATES EXPLORATION, it is because THERE ARE A FEW, OPTIONAL AREAS, WHERE EXPLORATION IS NOT THE FOCUS, BUT SPEEDRUN AND REFLEXES. Got that? Great.
The game has 3 major bosses and 4 endgame bosses. 2 endgame bosses are moke like "stages" than bosses, but they are unique. All bosses are great, even if I believe the first is slightly better than the second which is slightly better than the third, all endgame bosses make up for it. The minibosses are kinda dumb, thou, they are powercreeped versions of singular, regular enemies. Some have really neat twists, but most don't.

That's all, folks

A true masterpiece. Simple, not very challenging, but still good enough to keep you entertained, and very so! It makes you look into a war in a way most war games never do to explore said subject, it makes you think about the soldiers as the people they were, the lives they lived, the experiences they got, and not just killing machines programmed to follow orders mindlessly.
It is also very didatic and very historically accurate, giving you one more thing to enjoy about it: The Story of the first World War and many things about it that you probrably didn't knew, too! While playing you may simpatize with the characters and feel for them, live with them, feel the joy and the bitterness along with them. It is deep and a truly great game that not only gives you nice info, a good and touching story, but also honors all those that should be honored but we often forget. Totally recommend it.

Ohoho...well, first of all Bioshock Infinite is not like the other 2 Bioshocks at all, it is a totally different world, story and such, but it keeps the old ''plasmid'' mechanic, with cool powers and combinations, also with enviromental hazards. The guns mechanic is also nice and realistic, you can only carry 2 of them and you need to take care of your ammunition at all times, if it ends, you need to get another gun from an enemy and so on, even so, overall, the game is very short and kinda easy, specially if compared to the last 2 who were SO DAMN HARD. but it still plays nice, not to mention the graphics are wonderful. Now heading to the story...JESUS MAN THIS GAME IS JUST SO GENIUS, HOLY SH*T, no, seriouly, the story of this game is simply GREAT, mind twisting at times, but that's part of the fun. You will probrably have some hard time to understand at first, but when you do...man, you won't regret it, it's an unique experience, it is a must to every gamer who appreciate genial storylines, you got to see it for yourself to understand how it feels, and I also don't wanna spoil anything. So both for the gameplay (even not being as challenging as the last ones) and the AMAZING story, that as many people say, is an unforgetable experience, I recommend it FOR SURE!!! :D

I certainly recommend Fly'N, specially to those who enjoy platformers. It is very fun and joyful to casual and hardcore gamers alike, since the levels are somewhat simple and linear, but contain nice challenges and puzzles on them aswell as secrets that require searching and/or skill, the music fits perfectly and both it and the art of the game is fantastic, you can also unlock neat artworks and secrets, but you will need to get ready for some hard challenges in order to do that. The gameplay is simple but neat, hard to handle at first, but amazing after you manage to. From what I played so far, it seems to be kinda short, but if you are up to enjoy the game at its fullest, achieving all challenges and bonuses, you will have many more hours of great fun. :D

This game is definately very interesting. It got a pretty weird story that makes you wonder where is the sence on all of that XD but it is still nice. What I think is most inovative is its gameplay, you can shape and manipulate pretty much everything you find in the world to solve puzzles and find secrets. Got amazing (and hidden) Minigames and very nice challenges aswell. Everything you do is permanent, what means all must be done with much care and logical thinking...sometimes you don't got much time to think and/or take much care...since this game got some action in it too! If you like puzzle games and are up to a completely new (and weird) experience, I certainly recommend it! :D

Very nice game, got interesting and dinamic puzzles, very funny and entertaining. It also got secrets in often hard to reach places and a challenge system that makes the game even more challenging (time trials, no deaths and less possible number of dimentional rifts). Each dimention got its own paralel reality, as you can see on how objects and portraits change, another feature that makes the game even nicer. The dimentional change and the change they create on everything that surrounds you are instantaneous. If you are a puzzle lover, specially a dinamic puzzle lover, this game is a must.

This one is another one of those art games, simply amazing. Simple yet incredible art, simple yet nice puzzles going from ridiculous to challenging ones and amazing music. This game is altered by reality and its storyline is beautiful. If you enjoy this kind of game, art games, then you must buy this one.

This game is simple yet very very entertaining. The style is amazing and it provides great challenges for both collectors and speed runners. New challenges appear as you get more powers and it is a very funny game, good to play with your friends also! I certainly recommend that game for any platform game lover.

Very Challenging and interesting game, the way you aquire and use your powers to solve puzzles are nice, the challenge mode is also very nice and the story has 3 different endings, that require you to play the game all over again, however, thats not a problem, since this game manages to be always entertaining and a great time waster. I recommend it, specially if you enjoy Puzzles and stealth based strategies...and if you don't enjoy stealth, you can be an uncontrolable killing machine too! :D
