First off don't believe my hours played as I rarely launch the game from steam.

This game is a brilliant classic roguelike. It has one of the most interesting character creation systems of any game I have played. Allowing for a variety of viable playstyles. With mutations ranging from four limbs to lasers it's easy to come up with a fun character.

The worldbuilding in this game might be the best I've ever seen as well. The game has lovely prose mixed in with randomly generated stories and it pulls it off. It really allows you to play the game multiple different ways. Do you want to play through the story involving tech bears or do you want to go off into randomly created sultan ruins? How about visiting the asphalt mines or the rainbow forest?

The only complaint I could have is sometimes a death will feel unfair. My personal example being when I was exploring a ruin a took a step into some water only to find out it wasn't water. It was magmatic water. I was instantly set on fire and and all the pools of water around me turned to steam and I was turned into an unforgettable luncheon.

These kinds of deaths are less common than just making stupid decisions however.
A damn fine game full of interesting choices. Really one of the best roguelikes out there.
