If afterward you are still stuck I encourage you posting your specific problem, or better yet reach out to the community or the developers on their discord. They are super helpful and will get you the help you need.
I understand what you mean when you say it can feel a bit basic starting out when you don't have that many abilities or items.
The intro chapter with the rats can feel a bit slow as there is lots of rats and not much else for that part of the game. But it picks up after that with different themes and variety afterward. I encourage you to experiment and try to find the enjoyment in the gear and tactical puzzle of the combat since that is the meat and potatoes of the game.
There is also a skip that first chapter option at creation you can utilize later on..
I will also say that there are some very cool moments as the story progresses. So if you stick with it stay tuned for those.
Granted the game isn't for everyone and that might not be enough to keep you around.
The devs are also still working on a few updates for the game, and will release another playable character down the road.
Good luck and happy gaming!
Some minor updates.Steam Controller support! Here's hoping 360 Controller Support!
Looks like they're still very active!
Thanks for the great review.
