I had managed to come across a 'free' copy of the game a year back, and it was so good I decided I owed it to the developers to purchase it myself.

Probably one of my Top 5 games ever.

A really fun game. My brother and I have always dreamed of an RPG where we could both play as our customizable characters but operate independently if we desire, and Divinity: Original Sin 2 offers just that. If you skip through the story and just jump combat to combat, the game might get dull, but the story is interesting enough and the combat is deep enough that the turn-based system never feels too repetitive.

The only problems I've experienced with the game are longer load times as the game progresses (close to 1 minute loading times when I load into the fresh game) and some frame issues during battles with lots of elemental effects (i.e. necrofire in the oil refinery while it's raining), but those are easily forgivable. The movement and navigation can be cumbersome at first, but you eventually get accustomed enough that it no longer registers as an issue.

Overall, I'd give it 8.75/10. Defintely worth your money and time!
