Comparing to the first game, Below Zero feels a little subpar.

Although the graphics and QOL were improved, the map got smaller, biomes felt less distinct and leviathans decreased significantly. Playing the 1st game really made you feel stranded alone, the 2nd game? Not so much. There was less of a fear factor as the game was generally brighter.

However, the game was still fantastic. I enjoyed playing it, although I would recommend only getting it on discount.
