I will be ignoring the gatcha mechanics unless they get directly in the way of single player.

The Good
-The art and music are good and carry most of experience with nostalgia.
-The gameplay is fine, interactive item on maps, knockback off cliffs, height advantage etc.

Writing and Story
-The story is split between the mercenary company/political drama and the multiverse/gatcha stuff and it make it less interesting they having one good story
-The localisation is messy, it is understandable but sometimes the wrong person will be the one talking or repeating lines back at each other, editor needed a few more passes.
-The writing has VERY predictable characters and is heavy handed, lots of telling not showing when it comes to people.
-You have to choose a faction to side with but hardly know anything about them other then gossip. (example: "The Tyrant King is bad!" "Okay, what has he done?" "Tyrant King! Tyrant King!")

Gameplay Issues
-Blue beats red, red beats green, green beats blue. It's like the Fire Emblem triangle but with less options because you can't swap weapons like FE units can mid combat.
-Random units, random skills, random gear. You can't build classes or teams you want just because you can't even pick what weapons or classes you end up with.
-You need an item from Gatcha gamplay to enter each chapter of the single player game, they are not hard to get, you don't need to spend a dime, but it is annoying and you also need to build up 'energy' to play the Gatcha maps. So you might have to wait and/or go back and forth between the two games instead of just enjoying the single player experience.

Final Thoughts
In all honesty I don't hate it, if the localisation and writing were polished up and you could just play the story mode straight through I would change this to recommended. But as it stands only bother with (on PC) if you have a bunch of time to kill and at least two monitors, because this is not a fullscreen/full attention game.

One of the best games overall in the year it came out, still getting free updates and crossover content.

I know it's not a 'true' indie game as Mintrocket is supported/owned by NEXON. But other indie games also have the similar support models, and with out inside information I can't judge it poorly for that, no micro transactions and great price.

This game has a ton of variation in style of content, lots of different sub games for farming, staff management, fishing, farming fish, puzzles, fish-dex, upgrading tools, etc. while you could look at some of this as grindy, I find it mostly decently paced unless you are forcing yourself to make the most of every single day.

If you are looking for a humorous game with a bunch of stuff to do this summer, I cannot recommend a more balanced experience of relaxation while not becoming boring.

As many have said before I wish Steam had a 'Maybe' option. This game has a lot of content and a LOT of time sinks if you have limited time to play games and want a meaningful experience, do not get this game. If you have a lot of time to kill and want something to play while listening to music, pod-casts, etc. this game is pretty good.

The main quest line and a few of the major factions have decent/interesting stories and outcomes, but most of the side content feels like filler. The game lacks the environmental story telling of previous Bethesda titles with logs or item placements in so many locations and instead most will be the same 'dungeons' repeated on every planet, with the exact same notes, clutter, and enemy placement. And I'm pretty sure a major quest line will send you to most of these building types at least once so if you want to explore it will be repetitive much sooner then later.

The more interesting locations and content (outside the big factions,) all feel like placeholder content that they ran out of time with and just finished to a functional state then pushed onward to the next place. No where feels like is has the personality or commitment to telling a good or conclusive event. Lots of good or fun ideas but cannot land the execution.

I don't know why if feels so soulless, it could be they ran out of time, had management complication, lack of focus, engine limitations, pandemic problems... the list goes on but the end result is that you should wait for a 'Full' edition once all DLC and modding have beefed up the package.

TLDR;
Only get the game if you are playing on a second monitor with a ton of downtime. For me the game is fine, perfectly functional. But with so many better and cheaper games available, unless you REALLY want something you can sink hundreds of hours into, give it some time to update and hopefully get additional support.

Try it on Gamepass if you really are on the fence, consider it a month long 15$ rental.

I like management games, I have no stake in lgbtq+ stuff but I do love character customisation (even if it plays a very minimal role in this game.) I got the game from a Streamers giveaway (not paid, just free game and a few extra keys.)

I only played one run of the game, I beat it first try, it is not a hard game or all that long (as I was not always focused on it). The main draw will be the dialog and characters. For that it's fine, nothing that stands out either really good or bad.

The management aspects felt unbalanced to me, I messed up fuel once at the start but an event bailed me out with a massive surplus, and after that I only was ever low on "Time Until Captured" but my supplies were always so high that no event ever popped up that I could not just pick the buy my way out option (fuel/supplies/moral/favours are the other currencies.)

If you want a light management game with strong interactive novel/choose-your-own-adventure vibes I'd like to recommend it... but at about half the current price. Maybe I'm just 'a poor' but 30 bucks for 3 hours of game/reading wont cut it for me.

Goodluck to the devs.

TLDR;
6.5/10 Managment/VN priced too high for me to be able to recommend.

Best combo of adventure/farm sim game imo. Playing on hard mode is recommended.

Very good transition of the first game into 3D, if they keep the pace of updates should turn out to be a very interesting game. Very interesting art style as well.

Fun and funny, silly game with solid gameplay base. Hope to see it keep the great qualities on full launch.

Fun game, story is far more linier then I would have liked. Overall a step up from Fallout 3 in most departments, but not as good story and character direction as Fallout:NV.
