Basically all you can ask for in a remaster; I'm glad the Total War peeps sprung this on us. At the time of writing (one day after release) there are a few pathfinding bugs, but otherwise game runs phenomenally.

Just got done with my first run. I'm astounded by the effort put into this game. Playing was stressful, in the best possible way. A Morgna her coren!

There's a reason this is a cult classic. Great setting, fun gameplay, sometimes genuinely excellent voice acting (and other times nice vintage early-2000s cheesy voice acting), great humour, and probably the most fun I've had solving puzzles in an RPG.

It has surprisingly aged very well (aside from some (relatively) minor gender issues).

The phrase 'flawed masterpiece' comes to mind.

Absolutely love this. I used to play (with the War Chiefs expansion) way back in the day, but was underwhelmed. I was always an AoE2 fan. But once I saw that the Definitive Edition featured my ancestors (the Incas), I preordered and decided to give it a second chance. I've had more fun with this than any other RTS game in my life; I love the gameplay, the graphics are dope, things are well-balanced, and the unfortunate early-release bugs have been dealt with. 10/10, would recommend if you're interested in this time period and cultures.

If you haven't played (or watched) Steins;Gate... get on that ASAP.
