Pyrene is really scratching my rogue-like itch. I made the mistake of installing it on a Friday morning before work and the next thing I knew I was rescheduling meetings at lunch time so I could try out the new character I just unlocked.

The gameplay is intuitive and enticing, the visuals and music are excellent. This game is a treat at this price point, strongly recommend.

Wow I feel bad for the monsters in this game. In the first 5 minutes of gameplay I had both of my tiny blue futuristic fists asking me to beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of mutants. Next thing I know, I'm feeding one of them the biscuit, giving them the knuckle sandwich, 1 - 2 combo. BOOM - I BIO MORPHED into the mutant I just killed, and then I start using his abilities to beat his mutant friends. How embarrassing.

My favourite one so far is the Scarbyttle, their special ability is ''GIGA FART'', it rips a fat one and does tons of damage.
I was reading the game descriptions and they insist it's some sort of dark smoke, but I know what I was doing.
I was giga farting.

The 3C feels tight, controls are responsive.
The art style and visuals are fantastic.
I highly recommend this metroidvania gem.
