Sony imposing new restrictions to play the game months following the games release is a scummy move and has restricted thousands of players in hundreds of countries that can't access the PSN.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this game at the current price point. If you are looking for a team-based zombie shooter which "alludes" to Left 4 dead you can't go wrong at $7.99 CAD for the base game, or $12.99 CAD for the Ultimate Edition with all the DLC included. It has satisfying gunplay, good enemy/map variety, and an interesting card system which spices up the game a little.

My favourite shooter of all time.

I literally played this game for 15 hours yesterday.

It's pretty fun I guess.

After a brief but enjoyable time with the first Valkyria Chronicles game I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the 4th entry in the series was coming to PC. The thing that first took me in from the series was the art style and pastel colours which made the world look vibrant and aesthetically pleasing. In addition the gameplay and combat system was also something which I enjoyed having been a fan of RTS and strategy games, despite some irks I had with the movement and aiming system.

Going into the 4th game I was surprised at how well the visual style of the game had been improved since the first PC entry of the series. Alongside this visual improvement was many great new additions to the series in terms of gameplay. New units, maps, characters, and an interesting storyline have fleshed out the game into what feels like a massive and involved war which you are at the head of. Whilst I have do have some issues with the combat system, similarly to those I had in the first game, it still holds up well.

If you're an existing fan the series or even a newcomer I highly recommend picking up this game. Its visual fidelity, interesting plot, engaging characters, and fun gameplay mechanics makes this game a must for strategy fans.
