Early Access Review
I love football, and I love video games. This is simply my favorite football video game developed in the last 15 years. That being said the development of this game isn't even done yet. If you're looking for early access done right this is it.

The developer is in constant contact with the players on his discord. Listens to suggestions, bug reports, and is overall very responsive on his discord. I've seen days where he will upload a new patch, and then several bugfixes in a single day. If you watch any of his youtube videos you will see that he is passionate about football, and this game.

The game itself is hard in a really good way i think. You have to play the game to win all the way to the end. Which is great. Sure when you watch your team on TV you might want them to blow out everyone, but for me personally when I play a football video game I want every game to be close. With this game every game feels close win or lose. When the developer added achievements the first one I got was for being blown out in a game (Goose Egg), and I loved it.

That's with the difficulty set to hard. You can change the difficulty if you want. Speaking of difficulty lets talk about kicking. I'm terrible at it in this game. There is an option to make it easier, but personally I would never change it. The fact that you can miss an easy extra point makes the game so much more dynamic. I love that too, and i'm probably sitting at 30% conversion on extra points.

The main reason I love this game i suppose is because of the difficulty. With this game on hard every game feels like the superbowl, or Legend Bowl.

The graphics are pixel art, and good pixel art at that. I realize that might be a turnoff for some. However the details are there. The sidelines, shadow of the blimp, teams, grandstands, stat displays, and the net on the field goal all bring together together the picture of a football game.

The game is has many customization options with players, teams, uniforms and so forth. You can make your dream team with favorite players of old, and new. I've only played with the player customization, but I do believe that about the only thing that you can't easily customize in game is the team logo.

The game is a good mix between sim, and arcade. All of the main stats are there, and there is even stat commentary withing the game.

I have only played this game with a gamepad, and the controls are familiar for a football game. There are some differences, but its easy to pick up control wise.

I have 46 hours currently, and even in it's current state i feel that I could get another 150 out this game. The beauty is that this game isn't even finished yet. The on the field gameplay feels really good in it's current state. Currently you have an exhibition, tournament, and season mode. With plans for a fleshed out franchise mode.

There is a remote play option, and I think Parsec for multiplayer. I haven't tried any of that, so I won't speak anymore on that.

To finish out my hope for the game is that the developer gets enough support to realize his dream game. Which is a win for everybody.
