For example, the revolver has a basic shot (which is more accurate/powerful when two-handed), an alternate gangsta shot that gives you either ricochet shots (one-handed) or homing shots (two-handed), you can reload it automatically (faster, one-handed) or manually (damage bonus, two-handed, slower), you can fan the hammer to shoot a shotgun burst of three shots at once, you can imbue it with magic balls (hehe) to give it, for example, explosive shots (fire), you can shoot thrown fireballs to create a massive explosion... the list goes on.
